Didn't you blokes go into meltdown earlier in the year about a Blacktown player only receiving a yellow instead of a red? Maybe this one is karma...lol Yeah a bloke almost losing his eye + A red for not touching anyone is abit different to a ball rolling.... almost as good as round 1 when a bloke was pushed by the wind to earn a pen to get the draw! Surprised if any on barring synthetics IF ? The boy played his PL2 Youth game yesterday at Cook Park, was holding up they played all the youth games but patchs were starting to get boggy. The overnight rain and on going everywhere would be swamped. Make up games suck, worse is now having to go shopping with the wife  Edited by LFC.: 5/6/2016 12:01:24 PM

Blacktown Spartans 0-2 Bonnyrigg (Kondek & Miller)
Good win by us, should have been 5/4 in all fairness, we were very wasteful . Credit to Spartans they put up a fight, especially the former BWE players.
The craziest save of the season by far goes down to Carlos Salidarre, from what i saw i think he saved a shot with his nuts, stayed down for the next 6 minutes or so. Wasnt himself the rest of the game, hence our boys shooting from distance trying to replicate some FIFA style goals.
Jason Trifiro was by far worst on the park last night.

Quote:Spartans coach Ben De Haan lamented another one of those nights.
"We dominated the whole second half and did enough to get something out the game. That is the story of our season thus far,” he said.
"We had a lot of chances to cutback but couldn't finish. “

Lily Holmes was perfect no puddles even though the rain was heavy and constant, no idea why Lambert was called off unless there was flooding nearby?

IIRC last time Lambert received this much rain was last year against Wolves, it was like a pool.
Pretty poor form cancelling it though, thought synthetic fields were made to play on regardless of weather.

I think Lambert floods in one corner when it rains this much. I think the people who put the pitch botched the drainage.

Reports saying trees behind the ground made there way onto the pitch
As this pitch is close as possible to grass this still creates water on the pitch that will still remain there 100 mm of rain from Sunday morning to 1 am til non stop rain 12 hours later nothing would be playable

Funny comments coming from a guy whose club has no ground of its own, gets kicked off for an U20s rugby league friendly match, and plays all their youth games on another ground. Sort your own mess out before commenting on others, you peanut.
And then you comment on the state of a creek, managed by the council, and home to many unique species of wildlife and call it polluted? It's swamp/marsh land you clown, it's meant to look like that. It's not a free flowing river. What testing have you done to call it polluted? Choke on a kebab an do us all a favour.

From what i read, the site is run by the "former" Spartans media man? When did he become "former", he was doing the ground announcing when we played them earlier in the year? The rumour mill on that site has also spoken of unrest in the coaching/playing ranks at Spartans, seems like a bad break up?

Interesting, seems like there might be a clear out at APIA also, trying to avoid relegation you would think.

Blacktown- Bonnyrigg game was a good contest, overall Blacktown just shaded Bonnyrigg, which was in stark contrast to their last meeting. It looked like someone took the time to read the instructions and put most of the parts of the team in the right places, and when the talking statue was taken off it was another change up, he was probably confused by all the movement around him. THEN when everythings going good they take Evans off, he didn't appear to be injured, and it all came a gutser, Cairncross and Vecik get their long kick contest going again and the mid field that had controlled the game, then had to defend against the ball coming back at them. Why did the game so dramatically when Evans left the field, I'd suggest while the problems up front are being addressed , there are also a couple at the back that need attention also, because the side goes much better when the mid field play football rather than clean up others mistakes. Just Sayin'.

Just Sayin'. About fair, was a boring game at times in honesty. If we had Robinson at the back & Miller playing might have been different result. First goal had a hint of offside and second was shambles, 3 defenders not wanting to put a leg to it ? Fifa style defending there. TBH no major loss, just from last night we got Vrankovic & Peterson injured. For me i personally wished they had brought on Kadric, Tucker and the fringe first players at the start. Rather save our players for the league campaign and the FFA Cup. APIA @ Home tomorrow, big game with us needing the 3 points to keep chase with the rest & Raciti and gang needing wins across all grades to keep them above Blacktown Spartans regarding relegation.
