I cant see any of the fury coaching staff losing their job. i cant see how next season they will get anyone to play for them. I can see a name change and a (zone sponsorship) if sponsorship is the politically correct term. know what i mean hahahah

Mick tonner
and Glen Ross
Gareth wont do it because of history (did well in his first gig but upset too many experts)
Tonner wont do it because of history (did a great job in the state league but upset too many experts)
Glen might. he is a great people motivator (but work and health issues)
what about Cairns ex coach? He seemed good.
Needs to play possession based football and be able to motivate and inspire young players.Oh and deal with experts

And select the best players in the region as well ffs.

Well that was interesting. There was a big debate on Facebook yesterday on the fury coaching, TD and admin staff. After the club being told that they stifle free speech and them claiming not to and a senior coach putting his hand up to take on the senior team.
I would direct you to the thread but the club has deleted it.
So if you are wondering why people in townsville are not watching the fury and saying nothing that is why.Had the thread been up there today a lot more people would of got on board.But of course it is the communities fault," sit down shut up and pay your money" said one of the posts.
Looks like more of the same for the for see able future.

Question to the forum
We are 3 years under the same coaching staff, we have failed to achieve a higher position on the ladder since gareth edds was coach. This season we have rejected-lost or disheartened many players and have failed to win a game against an NPL team in 12 outings . as a matter of fact we have lost every game except 1 against a local team where we won 2-0 at the end of the game. crowd numbers at home are app 50, 30 of which are parents of players.Wages for the 3 paid coaching staff exceed $300,000.We have people offering to step in and take on the senior team as it stands with no personnel change.

Is it unreasonable to ask for change? Simple question. yes or no

Nine years ago i said we need a Spanish coach for townsville. With the financial situation in spain we could easily afford a Spanish head coach an 2 TD from the same club in Spain therefore having a continuity of style across the fury. There can be no argument if you look at what Spanish coaching has done for the A league. If you take Adelaide as an example of continuity it will prove the point. Now i dont say that we can afford x baca coaches but there are many clubs in Spain with under paid coaches. We would take the NPL QLD by storm. The only voice of objection will come from those with a vested interest in maintaining the status quo

The Fury have endured a miserable season to be ranked last in the NPL without a win while they were knocked out of the FFA Cup with a 5-1 loss to the FNQ Heat last weekend.

Frustrations about the club’s plight have boiled over on social media, but Ferguson has staunchly defended the youthful Fury line-up.

Injuries to key players such as Michael Eisenhut have left the Fury short of what little NPL experience they did have available this season and Ferguson has had no choice but to blood teenagers.

Ferguson said his young charges needed support — not negativity — to keep moving forward.

“They can slag me off all they want, it doesn’t bother me, but we have kids who go on social media and that negativity really affects them,” Ferguson said.

“It’s easy to be negative and throw rocks, but they’re a young side and they need your backing.

“I understand the frustration, but this is a five-year plan and we’re two years into it.

“We’re giving local talent the opportunity to aspire to be top flight footballers.

“It’s a big job and we recognise that, but we want to keep giving the young players an opportunity so they can learn what they need to do to play at this level.”

Things won’t get any easier for the Fury on Saturday night when they hit the road to play the third-placed Brisbane Strikers.

Ferguson admitted last weekend’s FFA Cup loss to the Heat was a heavy blow, but he said the Fury just had to get back to basics and implement the skills they display at training in match situations.

“We see it working when we’re on the training park, but for whatever reason we forget all that hard work and fall out of games,” he said.

“There are signs that we’re improving. We took a massive step back last weekend, but we’ll keep giving the young ones game time and see what they can do.

“I just want them to go out and enjoy playing football.”

Trolls dont normally leave there name knowing that the person reading it knows them well. Do they?

But in essence most want a change of coach and i think a change of TD's is also necessary.
No one is blaming the players but that is the skirt furgie hides behind, then again most failing managers do.
