Wanderers up to 9596. Hope they cap it at 14k and then start a waiting list. A waiting list would help when they have a shit season cause they have members to fall back on. Plus it gives incentives to renew otherwise you might have to go to the back of the line

I don't know, probably for corporate members and others. Like how club ambassador Ian 'Dicko' is our #1 membership.

I was in touch with membership and as far as they knew the membership status has not been released. Not sure where you base your argument.....

well if they are really what the link says then sydney fc should be getting better membership numbers, i hope its wrong because i want to see all clubs strong even sydney fc (strong off field anyways) is there a reason why sydney fc are not posting membership numbers?

I don't think they are at all worrying. On Sydney's forum the membership people have said that it is busier than usual. There's still months until the season starts and the members renewal period still has month to go.

surely Sydney should be aiming for more than 10k. pathetic.

If we slightly increase our members to ~10 000 and our average to ~ 20 000 I will be satisfied.

I would have to agree, better than most other sporting clubs in the Sydney market.

As of Friday just past, membership office said Tony was not releasing the numbers just yet, now it seems he has come out and given them, which is good, transparency is appreciated.

Not sure if 3,000 odd at this stage of the race is shoddy. Remember SFC members have been around for a few years and understand they won't go out of stock......big stadium and all.

My guess when it happened was their membership software not working well with non 4+ digit numbers.

It's annoying since I'd have a 2 digit membership otherwise. :lol:

Todays email from the Wanderers says there are almost 9,000 membership renewals. I guess that will be the last number we hear until new membership sign up commences on 22 July.

I've decided I'm going to sign up for a Victory membership this season - living on the other side of Geelong I do find it difficult to get to games, not to mention a full membership is just a tad expensive at the moment but I've decided to spring for a non-matchday membership - $60 for the year (so $5 a month) to help the club out. Needless to say, I will continue to support the league as a whole with my full Foxtel package.
