With MH now at 4,924, certainly another big jump in one day. Maybe they were onto something with the Mosquito afterall :)
Hoping for over 5K tomorrow.

Hoping for over 5K tomorrow. Heart have recruited well this season and I expect them to make the 6 and challenge for the top 4. If Mifsud, Kewell and Kisnorbo can all have injury free seasons Heart can do very well. I hope the surge in memberships (and hopefully attendances) continues. A second Melbourne team with a strong following is just what the HAL needs to build on the ADP effect and the emergence of WSW last year.

with an average of 1600 members for each of the remaining 9 clubs in 3 weeks 90k members is almost doable, i expect a surge in the last week before the league starts, so we are going to give it a nudge, which is a fanstasic result for the competition which is largely ignored by mainstream media.

Some rivalries in the numbers race -
Roar v Heart
Three way fight - AU, Glory and even Mariners
and even perhaps,
Newcastle v Sydney?
Roar and Heart are particularly interesting as both were 'apparently' around the 6.5k members mark last season (According to Tbitm's posts) and both are tracking similar levels now, with Heart recently gaining good ground on Roar and set to gain more, given how they've tracked last few days!

Yes I think 90K is achievable, there has been no updates for awhile from BR, AU & NJ. Normally there is a surge as the season approaches as people realize they haven't got the memberships yet.

According to Daily Telegraph article today Wanderers closed off membership at slightly above 15,600 members or about 100 higher than first thought. This will leave 4,000 tickets to be sold to the public each game. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/football/western-sydney-wanderers-put-plan-to-expand-parramatta-stadium-capacity-on-hold/story-fni2fpy9-1226723155594Edited by gyfox: 20/9/2013 09:58:00 AM

Mariners offer free VIP parking to members 5 minutes from Bluetounge .. http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/centralcoastmariners/news-display/Mariners-to-provide-VIP-parking-to-Members/75064Central Coast Mariners Members will receive an additional benefit this Hyundai A-League season thanks to the Club’s new alliance with Gosford Race Club. Mariners Members will now be provided complimentary VIP car parking at Gosford Race Club throughout the campaign on a first come, first served basis. *Each game day (excluding New Year’s Eve) the exclusive Member car park will be open while Members enjoy the excitement of the Hyundai A-League at the Club’s idyllic bayside base, Bluetongue Stadium. Central Coast Mariners Group General Manager, Mr Peter Turnbull, said that the Club is continuously looking for new ways to service its Members. “We hope that our Members appreciate and opt to take advantage of this initiative by the Club in partnership with Gosford Race Club,” Mr Turnbull said. “Gosford Race Club is an easy five minute walk to Bluetongue Stadium, so this parking option is well positioned for fans eager for easy access to the venue and precinct. This is just another example of how two Clubs working together can provide extra benefits to Members.” Turnbull added that the parking incentive might also sway a few undecided Members to commit to the Club. “We are at record Member numbers leading into our Hyundai A-League Championship defence and we hope that we will be able surpass 5,000 Members before our first game of the new season against Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday 12 October,” he said. “Knowing that free, exclusive parking is available for Members only may well encourage some fans to jump on board with the Club and help us reach our Member target.” Gosford Race Club Chief Executive Officer, Mr James Heddo, said that by working together the two organisations could better serve the people of the Central Coast. “This is a great example of two prominent Central Coast organisations working in tandem to assist sports fans,” Mr Heddo said. *Mariners Members will be advised via e-mail and social media alerts if the complimentary car park will not be open on a particular game day due to extreme wet weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
