Weather is looking perfect in Lake Mac.

How hard is it for the rain to stay for longer than ten minutes. No lightning or thunder, just rain.

That breeze off the bay is actually quite nice in the sun.

Was pretty much a nice weather day for me today. Was raining all morning and early afternoon. Been overcast all day and there is a chill in the air. Going outside definitely requiring a jersey.
The only crap thing was having to work in the morning when i could have slept in with the rain or chilled with a cup of a tea and a movie on.

Some severe as fuck storm cells passing through Sydney and the upper-Central Coast as I type. Constant Thunder clapping loudly above my house, almost non-stop. Lightning Strikes like the worlds going to end. It's been a stinking hot day, got to about 30 out in Milperra. Have been watching this storm build all day, and by golly, she's lettin' loose like a mad cow on her rags!!!!!!! This was the view from my window as the storm passed over Balmain and into the heart of the Sydney CBD. Got real dark, real quick. And these pics are from when it passed over Sydney Airport. Faaaaarrrrk. The thunderheads remind me of 'Independence Day', when the alien spaceships are breaking into earths atmosphere. Most violent storm cell in a loooong time. We had a smallish storm last week, but that passed North of the City. This one's come smack bang from the south south-west, and gone straight for the 'burbs. I'm hearing lots, and lots of sirens coming from the City itself. I somehow get the feeling there's been a lot of damage caused!!!

Praise Helix for this popular thread!
Had football training last night in one of the worst rains and storms I've ever been made to train in. A lightning strike, with thunder hitting instantly, hit a tree about 5m away from where we were doing shuttle runs. At which time one of the branches caught on fire. The coach said "it never hits in the same place twice, keep going!" and we kept on training

Friday, 7th March 2014: Sydney UpdateA warm, muggy and sunny start to the day, with storms and showers rolling through in the mid-late afternoon, early evening. Will be drips and drops across rooftops and batfink's crops. Current Sydney 128km radar confirms heavy rainfall around the Blue Mountains region heading towards Sydney, with thunderstorms forming in the Sydney basin. The 64km radar shows severe storm activity forming in the Sydney south-west region, with this expected to move east-north east in the coming hour/s. This is Heineken, with Sydney's latest weather. Im assuming tonight's storm might just rain around sydney instead of on sydney like on wednesday night, the humidity has not been there today, and theres no sting in the air unlike on wednesday

It's dark and there is a light breeze around. However, that could just be air conditioning...
