ricecrackers wrote:blame Tony Abbott for repealing the carbon tax It has been rainy and windy Its not the sheer density of the rain (theres been less than 20mms), its the timing- its during the day and not so much at night, mixed with that blustery wind

The worst weather I have ever experienced in Australia (I have never been to the tropics of Darwin and Cairns region yet) 1. Brisbane - Torrential downpours and threatening lightning, on top of horrendous humidity in between storms. The Australian attitude says I was a scaredy cat from staying in during an evening where 100mms was dumped in the city. 2. Tasmania- in december, when it clouds over in Tassie its 0 degrees, and the wind chill is horrible. When the sun comes out, people will burn to a crisp in a matter of seconds, theres a people with a hole in the ozone layer down there Edited by condemned666: 25/9/2014 01:01:13 PM

The temp in the day would hover around 8-14 but the Sun would deadset add 10 degrees. Last summer was hotter than anything I've experienced on the mainland. The Sun is devastatingly powerful and there's was barely any rain to speak of, any wind coming from the north in summer is painfully dry and hot. Thank god climate change isn't occurring
