To even have a HALF SHOT with the NT at this late stage, IF he's at A-L level, he would be not only need to be featuring week in, week out, but also one of the A-L's best players, STARRING, week-in, week-out!

Really? I'd think that we'd be seeing Troisi, if he comes, playing in more of a central role.

I've been told Mahazi has been signed. So, I'd say that Troisi loan would fill out the roster.

MV are well known for doing things within the cap that are creative within the rules.

As I said in the other thread, we can't invite a five year old for a kick with ADP without our cap space being questioned.

Well Victory have 100% signed a Attacking Midfielder, Ange said as much this morning on radio, he just didn't give the name, if it is troisi then thats fantastic and MVFC will certainly be very difficult to stop this season.

I would hope any current or potential Socceroo would be wise enough to do this IMO :lol:

And Troisi was smart enough to choose Ange over GVE.

It looks like the wiki had the squad wrong so it wasn't really your mistake. But yeah, I'm not entirely sure on O'Dea's situation for this season and whether Geria and Galloway are still senior-listed youths or proper squad members but i'm fairly sure the situation is that there is one senior spot remaining after the Troisi signing, possibly for one of the triallists like Govas, McGrath or Mahazi

The Jerks did all the groundwork for Troisi a year ago but it didn't quite get past the last hurdle. So I assume it was an easy decision for him to come over now after being sold on the idea a year ago - it's just that Victory were smart enough to pounce this time

There is the small matter of him playing and playing well but I hear ya. I'd prefer both Ruka and Troisi to Oar - I'm just not a fan.

In the past it hasn't been that simple. That's the thing. But there might have been a rule change to allow common sense to prevail. Clubs should only pay for what they pay the player.

Starting spot permitting more like it.

I understand adding depth and what not, but we don't need more Brus and Foschinis.

O'Dea has (or at least had) a senior contract last year but the others are all youth players. Jordan Brown is one of our senior-listed youth players so doesn't take a spot in the squad of 23. Geria and Galloway were the same last year but they might've moved into the squad properly for this year

great signing if this evenuates. i haven't been able to get a good look at him so looking forward to watching him play week in week out.

Victory are paying $250k of Flores's wages still, and CCM only $150k. Yet CCM claim that Flores is completely under the cap for them as he only costs them $150k.

By HAL rules, doesn't the entire wage paid to the player count under the cap, even if the club only pays a percentage?

Never understood this rule, but it's been around for a while now. Wouldn't complain if it's changed but haven't heard anything. Its a hindrance to HAL clubs trying to sign decent young players from bigger clubs on loan.

Good signing for the league if he does come back, but I could think of other clubs that could use him more than MV!
