Originally scheduled to be held at Sydney Olympic’s nominated home venue Belmore Sports Ground, the NSW National Premier Leagues club could not secure the venue for the match. The other three Round of 16 matches to be played on 16 September 2014 sees Queensland’s Olympic FC taking on the Central Coast Mariners, Adelaide City hosting Brisbane Strikers and Capital Football NPL outfit Tuggeranong United facing Melbourne Victory. The Westfield FFA Cup’s official broadcast partner FOX SPORTS will broadcast Tuggeranong United’s match against Melbourne Victory as well as provide up to the minute crosses and updates of the other matches. Ticketing information for the Round of 16 matches is available by contacting the home clubs or by clicking here.

Yeah just double checked wording in the email and it clearly states ticket agency fees apply to all tickets. Ticketek are completely fucked, I'm so glad most gigs I go to are through Oztix who charge nothing extra for a PDF ticket.

Its a damn fine facility, they have upkeep of the ground, which still applies despite the synthetic turf.
Plus for the night they have to pay for;
Electricty, Security & Police, Council will probably charge them for traffic congestion in the area, player payments, provision of food/drink for any FFA bogus people that decide to show up.
I hope that they earn enough to let them put a decent side out for the next few NSW NPL seasons, and perhaps upgrade some of the facilities they already have for next time the cup comes around. This. Regardless of the result, they should still make a tidy profit, and I have no qualms with this. This is part of the added beauty of the cup. It allows NPL and smaller clubs to be able to make arguably the biggest cash injection of their season, and that's after the associated costs of Police, private security, and food & beverage costs. United are lucky in the sense they generally don't need it because they've their club next door and the profits associated with that would go into the club anyway. I daresay the Croatian Club is going to do a decent trading on Tuesday afternoon/evening. It's sure too with myself, SydCro58, EasternGlory and associated others drinking before the game. :p ;) club will open at 11am, and will be closing around midnight. Wonderful. I'll be there at 10.30am to beat the queues. ;)

Like I said, it's going to be a sellout and you're charging $40 for some tickets but want people to work for free :lol: You'll have 12k people there ffs :lol: And the second point about "state league" club, haha. Please tell me you're having a fucking laugh. Usually you're equal second in line behind South Melbourne fans to bitch and moan about the fact that you're a state league club, but now you're charging $40 for some tickets and expecting 12k people there, so now you use it on your side for the argument. Make up your mind. The sarcasm about it being an outrage is hilarious especially considering the amount of money your club is going to pocket with this game. I've got no problems with volunteers for any club, but when you'er charging $40 a ticket and expecting a sell out whilst so many United fans claim how massive the club is.. Well, I simply expected some investment into the actual people at the club. Outside the Croats on the board, I mean.

Firstly, $40 is for about 300/400 tickets out of 12,000. How else do you propose we decide who gets to sit on the upper tier of the grandstand? Lucky lottery? Free for all? Secondly, if people are willing to volunteer to help the club out then what's the issue? The club isn't forcing anybody to do anything. It was a simple request. If nobody wants to volunteer, they wont. The club will then do what's necessary to ensure the night goes smoothly - ie. hire people. Having said that, no organisation on the planet would hire people if there are plenty out there willing to do the job for free. Olympics, World Cups, all sorts of major sporting events ask for volunteers even though they have budgets in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Thirdly, I challenge you to find a single post from me on here complaining about not being in the A-League. I've stated numerous times that we dont belong there and that I have no interest in our club being there. I think you have us confused for Sydney Olympic fans. Try again. Fourthly, out of 12,000 tickets only about 10% of them would be more expensive than $20. That's because they're under cover and in the section with the best facilities. You make it sound as though we're skinning everyone who wants to go to the game. People who do not want to fork out more than $20 dont have to. There are plenty of cheap tickets available. This even isn't unlike any other - premium seating is more expensive, higher demand means higher ticket prices. Lastly, there will be plenty of 'paid' people there on the night. However, when you might have a crowd of 8000+ a few volunteers cant hurt. Any money saved can go into improving facilities, paying for the artificial training pitch we'd like to have, replacing all the seats in the ground etc.

I really don't see how people, especially other SFC fans, can have a problem with a $40 ticket in the Boka stand. There are thousands of well-priced tickets if you want them - I picked up a $10 standing room ticket as a uni student. This will be a much better match than for example your average Wellington or Perth home game where you could expect to pay $20 for GA or $50 for the premium seats. $40 really is not that much for the few hundred seats that are easily best in the ground. SFC has a budget of $10m+ and we still have dozens of volunteers helping out, I myself have done several volunteer stints for the W-League and for membership pack collections. If it weren't for volunteers most clubs at this level would be nothing at all. Wollongong Wolves were built completely out of volunteers including their entire old stadium at Barton Park. Get the fuck over it, if you don't want to pay for what is a not even particularly expensive ticket in the best stand in the ground, stand with the rest of us peasants on the hill for a tenner!

Complaining about 40 bucks in the boka is like complaining that medallion seats at the G are higher when there are other seats around the ground. Use your heads.
