Surely this is a good problem to have as opposed to no cup at all? Although its going to be worse in future years if the First 4 Rds of the Cup (Rd 32, Rd16, QF and Semis) are held later with the Cup Final being held on Australia day as mooted.

Of course it's better than no cup, I don't see a way around it either. The only way would be to shift NPL seasons.

I really think the fact the Mariners are going into this with no strikers will really hurt them. C'mon Palmy.

Any half-decent A-league attacking midfielder has the scoring ability of a striker when they play against state league opposition. So you're saying WSW doesn't have any half-decent attacking midfielders?

Edited by helloworld1992: 14/10/2014 12:46:13 PM Bingham is a striker (would be interested to see him start) but yeah otherwise will be Trifiro I think. Obviously haven't seen either of them in some time, but will be interesting to see how a defence of Rees and Dodd (both in mid 30s, if that's who they play) deal with pace (from memory neither was ever the quickest although I don't have strong recollections of either)

Televised football from an empty Robina stadium. Bringing back wonderful memories.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.
