Should we do something like this? Pretty sure Waltzing Matilda holds that "unofficial national song" role. I remember the Strayan fans singing it with gusto in the friendly against Netherlands before the 2006 WC and never heard it in a football capacity since. Maybe there are better choices than that.

What song would you pick, if any?

If only I was a mod, we could have had a totally necessary poll on this. Your loss.

Bugger that. Need something truly 'Strayan. (Not saying Walzing Matilda isn't 'Strayan)

15,000 people rocking out, getting "The last plane out of Sydney" wrong.

Makes sense also because everybody knows Sydney is the footballing centerpiece of the universe too. 8-[

Failing that. Belt this out.

How will Victory be in the final after they lose in the quarter final?

No they don't. There was some discontent about the prices and the very short notice for this game.
I'm sure the FFA are using this years a comp as a dummy run, so as to fine tune it for next year.
I"ll go on record now as saying next year will favour the Eastern states. I'm pretty sure they did that for Sydney this year, whingy Arnie got the memo that relyed on a ref that has traditionally hated Adelaide and he put out a weaker team, but the ref changed his mindset & Sydney lost the advantage

I think those are pretty reasonable prices given it's a Final and the small capacity of the Stadium, but I expect at least a handful of folks in my beloved whine and cheese state to whine about them nevertheless:( personally, I'll be disappointed if this isn't a sellout.

I'm actually surprised by De Bohun's comments. I really can't consider his comments as having too much truth.
I think the real reason is that Fox played a major, major role in this decision re: viewing audience in the friendly 7.30 timeslot, as opposed to the unfriendly 10.00? ( daylight saving has stuffed up my timezone knowledge too much ), and business is something Sage should understand.

C'mon man

It's actually a picture from the perth glory website
http://www.perthglory.com.au/article/adelaide-to-host-perths-bid-for-cup-glory/1tpios90cjxgc1f5g5buv3dp2i

Quote:
“The selection of the Westfield FFA Cup final venue was based on the objective of maximising the attendance and the TV audience. It’s a cup final and we want as many Australians engaged as possible” he said.
“In relation to crowds, Adelaide United set a new A-League city record of 33,000 in round 2 and filled Coopers Stadium with 16,000 last weekend” he added.
Mr de Bohun also said there were Fox Sports broadcast commitments to satisfy.
“The time zone was also a factor is this decision, as were the requirements of our broadcast partner Fox Sports, and the overall desire to make this a great event. We had pencil bookings at all four venues going into the semi-finals, but Adelaide is the right choice on all the objective measures.
“Naturally, fans in Perth are disappointed and we respect their views as passionate supporters. Of course, every fan would want to have the FFA Cup final on home turf, so we understand the reaction. It’s another sign that in its first year the FFA Cup has become an instant classic on the football calendar. ”

Yep because they put some quotation marks in it's completely invalid  The paraphrasing was completely misleading too, he made no comments on the fact that the crowds in Adelaide have been very strong.

The main thing I wanted to highlight is that I liked the way they're trying to harness the rage that some are feeling over in the west.
