CONGRATULATIONS TO SOUTH MELBOURNE FC & OAKLEIGH CANNONS FC

Debuting in the FFA Cup for the first time, after qualifying tonight.

South Melbourne defeated Frankston Pines FC 6-1, whilst Oakleigh Cannons had a late scare against last years underdogs South Springvale, prevailing 2-1 in the end.

South Melbourne FC road to the cup.
vs. Whittlsea United (won 5-0)
vs. North Sunshine Eagles (won 8-0)
vs. Melbourne Knights (won 3-1)
vs. Frankston Pine (won 6-1)

Some big scorelines in their qualification route. I daresay they'll be contenders for semi-finalists.

Oakleigh Cannons FC road to the cup
vs. Corio SC (won 12-0)
vs. Richmond SC (0-0; Advance 5-4 on penalties)
vs. Bendigo City (won 5-1)
vs. South Springvale (won 2-1)

Looking forward to seeing who they'll draw in the Ro32. :)

Bar the Knights that's a very soft run for south melbourne

Yep, but some of that is due to upsets as well, nobody would have expected Frankston to beat Avondale for eg. But the knights game is tough enough, Bentleigh had the easiest run last year didn't even face an npl team at all.

Having just fixed up his Wiki, sounds like a combination of both.

Although Papas is now manager, so hopefully we can see some more of his style of football. Perhaps an indication of what he might bring to an A-League club? Wasn't he shortlisted for the Mariners and the Jets?

The much anticipated draw for the Round of 32 of the Westfield FFA Cup 2015 will be held on Wednesday 1 July at 4pm (AEST) at Fox Sports HQ in Sydney which will be broadcast live and exclusive on Fox Sports News and also streamed online at www.foxsports.com.au and www.theffacup.com.au.

The time is terrible (as the players, members and officials would have find it much harder to gather at their clubs).

Yup, 7pm ffs.
