Keen as for tomorrow night!

Time to crack out the Keogh Jersey after a long winter in the cupboard.

If we have a Victory v Hume/Heidelberg/Oakleigh in the next round, where does the game get held?

Is it a ruling that the lower level team hosts? Likely to be a sell out for any of those teams hosting if it were to happen.

The ruling in A-League team is away. When non AL teams that are drawn against each other the first team drawn is home (it doesn't matter which level they are)
Having a look at the home ground capacity for those teams, Hume and Oakleigh at 5,000 and Heidelberg at 10,000, very likely a sell out for all of them if they host Victory.

The host team also nominates the field it would like to play at.
Maybe those clubs would be tempted to cash in on the gate by renting a bigger venue????

You'd think a shift to AAMI for MV's first FFA game in Melbourne would be a no-brainer.

And we're used to playing "away" at AAMI and out numbering the "home" supporters.

Anyone have any trouble with the live streams last week? Trying to get mine in order for the Jets vs Glory game...

It says you have to purchase a foxtel digital subscription but it should be included if you are a foxtel customer already?

Yeah, if you already have a foxtel subscription, you're set. You can download Foxtel Go and get access to the games.

If not already a Foxtel digital subscriber, you can currently sign up for a 2 week trial period for free and they give you access to everything.

Just highlights how dumb it is making everyone play on Tuesday. Apart from the 4 main televised games, the rest should be played at 3pm on a Saturday so that the clubs can host big teams at their actual home grounds rather than the pisstake that is the status quo.

I agree with you in theory but:

A) it clashes with regular season games
B) it's on nights of the week where nothing else is on, so we're in the spotlight with no competition

Ideally club facilities could be better but that probably won't happen for a really long time, if ever.

A) Regular season NPL games are already moved for the cup. The later rounds that clash with the A-League would be late in the tournament and televised, thus justifying Tuesday night.
b) I'm not saying move all games. Just the ones that are not on Television or are played at grounds that are unsuitable for TV, there really is no benefit to having a game on Tuesday night that's only being stream on Fox's restricted website. Something like Polonia vs Lions or Rockdale v Perth would be better placed for a weekend game. Forcing clubs to move away from their home grounds defeats the whole purpose of the Cup.

My friend was saying late last week, that Westfield Doncaster gave tickets for the Oakleigh v. FNQ game to stores that sell football stuff (i.e. adidas, nike & rebel etc.) to pass on to customers.

Good to see, not sure how effective it would be in Melbourne (particularly for an Oakleigh game) as there aren't anywhere near as many Westfields in Melbourne as there is Sydney. If it was a Heidelberg game, there would be quite a few people interested in tickets.

That strategy might be right for a Victory home Grand Final, but I really doubt that it'd be the best way forward for a state team hosting an FFA Cup match.

Depends on the venue. HU wiki says 10k. That is enough if you can let everyone in. How many would you expect? I do know it would be the first Vic game. What is the max they could charge? I think $25 would be ok.

I'm not so sure you would get enough at Aami to make it worth while and if it meant playing at Aami to let in more MV fans and you come out with the same amount I would want to play at the home (smaller) venue
