The main weakness Heidelberg has is that they are really slow across the park, technically they have good players, they can play a good brand of football and often do and they are known for scoring a lot of goals from distance, but if you have fast players in your team and you run at them that's when they become vulnerable. The coach katsakis is a champion at finding players but his tactics remain mind boggling at times, form has dropped off big time in recent weeks, then again it seems most npl teams still in the cup are struggling to win in their respective leagues.

We aint the quickest side either, yes along the flanks, but we are more of a technical team. seems like there is a lot of similarities between us and Heidelberg.

Heidelberg have fans? any truth to them having an active supporters group, 'Alexanders Army'?

any truth to them having an active supporters group, 'Alexanders Army'? They certainly do have fans, they tend to mainly come out in numbers for big matches, as for active fans, again, for big matches, greek derbies v hellas and maybe cup finals etc they will have an active element, not at all matches, though, i dare say they will for your match against them https://www.facebook.com/hufc58/videos/vb.157991284254013/865585026827965/?type=2&theater (from their derby earlier this season) https://www.facebook.com/alexanderultras4/timelineEdited by Glenardo : 19/8/2015 12:27:47 PMEdited by Glenardo: 19/8/2015 03:21:15 PM

absoloute pissweak pack of flogs "alexanders army" please they are a disgrace go to a regular heidelberg game and you will see 30 people there. Absolute fickle bunch of people all closet supporters when heidelberg was down in the dumps now as the gradually get better they hop on the broken bandwagon

Heidelberg have the most loyal and dedicated supporters in the 60+ age bracket in the entire country! massive respect for them to stick it out through thick and thin, when you take into account Nsl relegation, multiple relegations and promotions locally it's a credit to those people, this cup tie is a great reward for them.
These Alexander army bunnies and other "youth" they have are bandwagoners, they only rock up once every while, they have the complexed attitude of " as long as we do better or beat south melbourne", absolute flogs. At least we have an active presence every single week, sure we may have only had a crowd of 500 last night, but it sure beats the 50 odd they had, naturally expect 2-3k next Wednesday.

Hume city defeat melbourne knights on penalties
Pascoe vale with the big upset defeating FFA cup darlings Heidelberg also on penalties.
Both knights and Heidelberg missed every single penalty they took.
Next week we have in the semi finals:
South Melbourne v Pascoe Vale at lakeside
Bentleigh Greens v Hume city at Kingston Heath
Dates and times to be confirmed later tonight you would think.

Well beaten by a better side on the day. If Bentleigh had their shooting boots on it could have been 6 or 7. Pity Roganovich got injured and Iqi got himself sent-off, limited our options in the last half hour and throughout extra time.

Is the East NPL1 still going, or is it over? If it's over, looks like Victory just missed out on promotion.

The worst part is neither side really created a chance in the 1st half, then 2nd they bombarded our goal. We couldn't combat Wayne Wallace..big man enforcer butchering us left and right and put roganovic out of the game as well:lol:...milovanovic returning to our side can't come quick enough, we were monstered by them. Bentleigh are good but they pass the ball sideways and backwards a lot, why we didn't press them high up the pitch is a mystery. We didn't deserve to take it to extra time, disappointing to see us put in such a negative display at home.

Got a feeling it will be South v mv round 1 next year, victory fans will be out in force as the novelty factor of playing ex Nsl clubs will be high early on, bit like when South and knights dropped down 10 years ago.
