That is true but it was only our first year in the competition. It will take time for our fan base to become aware of the NPL but I think it will inevitably grow as more fans start to tire of just AFL in the winter. The active fans have already shown they are more likely to turn up as well. At the very least, people are going to turn up for matches against Knights, South and Heidleberg.

Have Heidelberg been deducted points? According to Fox Sports Pulse app they're currently on -3.
Is this legit? Or a glitch...

Credit where it's due, over 3,500 turned up to watch south Melbourne, probably the best supported club in the NPL.
Not a Phase, Not a Trend, SYDNEY UNITED till the END!

The thing that sucks is the Grand Prix forces us to play a long stretch of away games after round 1, I think our next home match is in April, by then our momentum is killed, summer is gone and the crowds start to fall off. You get a crowd like that and you win 6-0 the place would have been rocking if we had another home game in a fortnight. We had a similar crowd in round 1 last year but this one was more impressive because we went directly head to head with Melbourne city.

I think it is the right time to start letting some old NSL clubs back into the A-league. South Melbourne should be rewarded for bringing in a crowd that big to watch a state league game.

$170 from $5 Nice work. William Hill has South paying $1.47 against Northcote this week which is ludicrous, I'm thinking of leading up on that, maybe chucking it in a multi with Bentleigh ($1.37) to beat Richmond and Green Gully ($2.15) to beat Pascoe Vale
