Very well taken point, not many teams will take anything away from that place, by the time we got use to the synthetic pitch we were already 2 down lol, shame we didn't have enough time to snatch a winner.

I wonder what the crowd was? I've attended a fair few games at Veneto club over the years and I haven't seen anything like that since south last visited about 8-10 years ago, for an 8.30 kick off when everyone has work/school the next day it was pretty impressive,

I'm just fascinated with the bulleen playing surface, it must give them a guaranteed 10-12 points every season alone, our blokes look frightened in the 1st half.

The Oakleigh game there a few weeks ago had a very healthy turn out too, I think a big part of it is them being the only game on Monday night so a lot of people that follow the NPLV with no affiliation to either side playing will attend for something to watch whereas on Friday night & there's 3 or 4 games on the attendances are spread more thinly

I was at the oakleigh game it was a healthy crowd but I'd say it wasn't even half of what we saw on Monday night, bulleen have always had good crowds going back to the 90s with that Monday night time slot.

Unless I'm mistaken (which I usually am) their preseason results were good. I though the greek guy they picked up would be good at the back, and the new English midfielder that came over from the states. They did lose a lot of players including right at the last minute (not sure what that was about)

The Greek guy has returned to Greece, they're in a world of trouble, by the time the transfer window opens they may already be gone, been rumours they may look to bring in experience, heard the trifiro brothers mentioned, but they desperately need a striker.

Yeah I heard that about the Greek guy too and I think the English guy looks out of depth at NPL level. From what I've been told the last minute departures were brought about because of a lack of faith in the squad/coaching staff

Sunshine George Cross will enter their fixture against the Dandenong Thunder this Easter long weekend with a four point deduction following the determination of a tribunal hearing for an incident during a pre-season friendly against local rivals the North Sunshine Eagles.

The NPL2 West side has also received a $1000 fine while striker Ahmet Turer has been suspended for 6 competitive matches after pleading guilty to the charge of serious violent conduct.

Their opponents on the day have been fined $4000 and deducted 12 championship points ahead of their upcoming State League 1 North/West season after the club was find guilty for participating in a violent melee.

North Sunshine Eagles President Besnik Kutleshi has also been found guilty of a number of charges relating to the melee, most notably bringing the game into disrepute and as a result of this verdict has been banned from any involvement in the game within the State of Victoria for two years.

The above incident took place in a pre-season friendly match between the two teams on January 29 at the East Keilor Leisure Centre in Keilor East with no FFV match officials appointed for the fixture.

The match was abandoned in the 25th minute after an incident involving Turer and Eagles player Miles Shannon, for which the latter received a red card from stand-in-referee Tony Ciantar, who is the manager of Sunshine George Cross.

After the incident, players and associates of both clubs gathered on the field and participated in a melee which resulted in the abandonment of the fixture – with police having to be called onto the scene.

Further information about the incident can be found in this link: http://www.footballfedvic.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Determination-and-reasons.pdf

Shannon was found not guilty of his charge resulting from his red card.

The punishment handed down to George Cross sees them lose their 4 competition points as they now occupy bottom place on the NPL2 West ladder alongside Bendigo City as they visit Dandenong Thunder who themselves face a potential 3 point penalty deduction.

It is alleged that in form Thunder forward Amir Osmancevic should have sat out the Thunder’s opening round 4-0 victory over Nunawading City after picking up his 5th yellow card of the 2015 season while playing for the Peninsula Strikers in State League 2 in 2015.

The 20-year-old striker collected his 5th booking of the season in the Strikers final league game of the season against Old Melburnians meaning he was ruled out of the following competitive fixture which carried over into the season was the Thunder’s 4-0 triumph over Nunawading City.

Osmancevic scored two goals in that match as well as providing an assist and if found guilty will by precedent miss one league match with the Dandenong Thunder being deducted three points which would be given to Nunawading City.
