Oh Hai. I was just strolling past your establishment in a totally unexpected and not in any way orchestrated fashion when I heard you discussing climate change. I my self am very interested in this topic and have read all papers associated with it from reputable news agencies such as Popular Technology.

I am taken aback by the attacks I have witnessed on two members of the climate forum. The attacks on Poptech who I am totally not associated or the same person are horrible. As well as the slander on one Rice Crackers the third.

As a practicing litigator in online forum mitigation I can assure you that what the moderator Paladisious has stated is in fact slander under common law and he is liable to that end.

I'll add my unsolicited opinion on this.

Crackers has been dealt a dud hand here.

I've had run ins with Crackers many times in the past and I'm no fan but in this instance there's a line up of blokes lobbing in and putting the boot in for no good reason. Playing the man and not the ball so to speak which, as I've been told, is not per the forum rules.

There needs to be some consistency. Multis for instance which Crackers has been accused of creating.

There's half a dozen on the forum that the mods know full well who they are but because they're part of the little clique and groupthink they're allowed to wander around at will.

And before you attack the messenger go back a few pages and have a look at some of the vitriol on display from peanuts who add absolutely nothing of value. I'm looking at you MV ARSE amongst others.

Ridiculous. Disagreements shouldn't end in bans.

I'd rather I didn't have to do it myself, I'm always against over moderation, but I was answering his questions over and again but he was still attacking me regardless; it had to end somewhere.

It's only a short one for him to cool off, I'm sure he'll be back to his old Ricey self in no time.

I'll admit that ricecrackers used to annoy me as he'd derail lots of good threads with deflections, ad hominem attacks and actually not offering anything to the discussion. Back then if I was a mod I would have permabanned him ages ago. Credit to the mods for being so patient and I've grown to really enjoy his quirks. Get well soon ricey, until we meet again...
