This thread and OP will be for all information regarding A-League clubs, their player lists and will be a guide for all to find out who is contracted for how long, who is uncontracted etc.

The aim is to be as accurate as possible. Initially, it will not be perfect and yes, clubs can be very vague when it comes to player deals but you deal with what you get. I've spent a couple of days collecting as much info as I could so I expect most, if not all, to be accurate. As such, it will be for official information only. Rumours, even strong ones (eg Jeggo to Adelaide) will not be included and until it's official, nothing will be changed either (eg De Silva to Roma) until it is officially penned and reported.

For any mistakes on the original list henceforth, or updates that are needed, you need to post a source. "I think"s will not be accepted. Links to any new articles, club announcements will. Social media, (eg Twitter) may, but it has to be from an official source (Club, News account).

Also hoping mods will help with updating the OP too, in case I'm not around. Hopefully this thread will be here for awhile!

Now first thing that some people may help with. Victory have a lot of youth players - does anyone know/have info about any of them on NYL contracts? Seems strange to have that many players without some being on them. Scott Galloway I think was listed as one on a MV forum but can't find any info on it.

On Aaron Mooy, it does seem confirmed that he will be contracted to Heart next season, with numerous articles like the above article reporting it as fact, and I've seen another article quoting Brian Marwood, the Director of the City Football Academy, matter-of-factly acknowledging that Mooy is coming to Heart.

On the 'unclear', that is, unverified details above, I should mention that I judge all that information to be most likely accurate (that is, that all those players are only contracted for next season), but there has been no official statements and to my knowledge no media reporting that those players are only contracted until next season (so Dugandzic and Germano could be contracted for the next 2 or 3 seasons, for all anybody knows). But probably fine to leave those details as is.


Would really like Engelaar to remain as well, but its been reported that his wife is about to give birth to his second child in several weeks, and his family seems to live in the Netherlands. Couple that development with the fact that Engelaar would have to sign under the cap, and reportedly he'd have to accept at least half if not less of the wages he got this season, and it looks certain that Engelaar won't be around next season unfortunately.


Also, I've seen 2 reports that Zachary Anderson is out of contract at the end of this season (1 , 2). Has he been re-signed or something?

Yeah, as I said in OP, it's more about just having players listed now, the quest is to get it more and more accurate as time goes on when news and info becomes available.

You guys have some very talented and good players it's funny that Bridge is the one with the longest contract. He had a great season last year but this season was not as good and in a couple years time you will be counting down the days until you can get rid of him.
Plus it's irrelevant that he scored more goals than most Sydney players because if you look at the OP you will see we are getting rid of our shit forwards while Bridge is on a long-term contract...

Thanks for the reply, changed Hoffman. I was surprised about news re Walker/Vranko so hopefully not true! Thought Walker should have been kept at RB over Hoffman, that contract will end badly.

Heart was hard to find info on, hopefully more comes to light in the off-season once all the MC changes have finished.

Haven't heard if Timmins (in process of getting Australian citizenship supposedly) will be getting a contract, seems unlikely with JBS getting offered a contract. If Ifill signs on he won'be a foreign player anymore. Watson and Gulley will be involved in preseason and might be offered another contract. Hernandez (and maybe Cunningham) could be allowed to leave if approached / suitable contract is offered. Rumours Sam Burfoot has signed floating around.
