Shame about Ryan, but he was never going to work out once his old man was sacked.

It's all updated bar the table/picture.
Thanks for the links. I do keep track myself but always handy if I miss something. I'd probably start sourcing when people sign contracts but without a superscript option I think things would get messy.

I know it's a bit more work, but maybe you could turn each player name in the OP into a hyperlink with the link to when they signed/released/whatever? EG: Just an idea, feel free to say no

Quote:Solorzano, who returned to the club in January on a contract for the rest of the season, revealed on Tuesday that he had signed a new two-year deal. “I’m going to prepare myself as best as I can because next season I want to really have an impact,” said Solorzano, who was an unused substitute in Sunday’s final. “I want to demonstrate to Mike (Mulvey) that I can be somewhere in the starting 11.” Henrique, who scored the winner in Sunday’s win after replacing Dimitri Petratos in the second half, was pleased about Solorzano staying in Brisbane. “He’s a very good friend of mine, so I’m very happy for him,” Henrique said about the man they call “Nico”. “I don’t know what the coach is going to do (to replace Berisha), but I think the club is well-serviced by Nico and me. “I’m employed by the club so I need to follow the instructions. If the coach says that I need to start, then I need to start. If the coach says that I need to wait, then yes I will wait.” http://www.couriermail.com.au/sport/football/thomas-broich-says-replacement-for-besart-berisha-could-already-be-at-brisbane-roar/story-fnk6pqhe-1226907934332 Edited by Roar_Brisbane: 9/5/2014 01:38:57 PM

Quote: Smeltz faces pay cut to stay at Glory
Shane Smeltz will have to take a significant pay cut if he is to remain at Perth Glory next season as the club abandons its domestic marquee spot.
The New Zealand international is out of contract at the end of May at nib Stadium after suffering an injury-interrupted 2013-2104 season which reduced him to 13 appearances and four goals.
Signed initially as the club's international marquee three years ago, Smeltz has been offered a one-year extension by Glory as owner Tony Sage seeks to cut the wage bill by opting to now ditch the Australian marquee slot.
News of Glory’s stance on a player, whose A-League goal tally of 77 is just one behind Melbourne Victory’s Archie Thompson, will alert several other clubs as Smeltz weighs up his future in the coming weeks.
Smeltz had been touted as a possible replacement for new Melbourne Victory signing Besart Berisha at Brisbane Roar – but it appears now that Roar may be looking at an overseas option.
“Shane Smeltz has been offered another contract but the situation is now that we will not have an Australian marquee position at the club next season,” said Sage. “Shane will have to decide whether he wants to accept the offer or not.
“With the marquee position not available now, he will have to fit under the salary cap. That is obviously going to be his call but of course we would like to keep a player with his proven goal record at the club.
"He was unlucky with injuries last season but is still a potent goalscorer."
Smeltz has struck 28 goals in 58 appearances for Glory, and his injury problems last season were a major factor in the club’s under-achieving campaign.
Glory finished eighth on the ladder but still appointed caretaker Kenny Lowe as its full time coach.
The door, meanwhile, remains slightly ajar for international marquee William Gallas, according to Sage, with the French star0 heading overseas this week amid ongoing negotiations over a possible return for a second season.
“He does want to stay at the club and he loves it here,” Sage said of the 36 year-old defender.
“But I think there won’t be any decision until a lit later on whether he returns to the club or not.”
Glory is also likely to confirm Western Sydney Wanderers' Ethiopian-born Dutch star Youssouf Hersi as its latest recruit next week after his final game for WSW against Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
While there is also interest from elsewhere, Glory is confident there will be no late hitches and it has its man.
Lowe will soon be heading to South America and Europe to scout potential visa players.

I'm curious - explain? :-k To me, from a distance, he seemed a good pick-up, semi-Wilkinson & Zvaanswjik replacement, bringing alot of experience, know-how and too height and physicality, to a weakened and inexperienced CB rotation? Brings some X-Factor too in his powerful free-kicks from distance - I'm certain he will score atleast one spectacular distance goal for you guys, this upcoming season! ;) He brings a bit of grunt too - not that the Mariners lack that in Hutchinson and co, but with the likes of happy demeanored Anderson and others at the back he can be the kind of 'Sasa Og', 'Matt Smith' or the like of your central defence and too side? When things get tough or the team needs a second wind, he will be on the pitch to motivate the boys and provide support - every team needs those experienced leaders and he's one of those? I guess he can seem a bit of a whinger, a bit with the gamesmanship or what not, but he's an experienced and well-traveled player and you can expect that. I suppose, fairly or unfairly, he's known for a bit of an attitude or what not - but he's with the 'No Dickhead' Mariners and it could be the right environment for him to thrive and he's essentially said so, with his re-signing?

ATE - I'm wondering, now that the season is officially over - perhaps you could change the category or status of '2013/14 contracts' to 'Departed Players' or what not? This seems more appropriate, especially when reading Glory's 2013/14 (Departures) list? :-k Or actually, there be a new sub-section for 'Confirmed Departures'? Edit: BTW New update, Victory re-sign Finkler for 2 more seasonsEdited by GloryPerth: 10/5/2014 03:54:56 AM

If they're listed in the 13/14 category then they're not departed, their contracts are running out at the end of May. If they have been "confirmed" as leaving/left then there's a note next to them. There's still ~30 players we don't know the future off, once that all happens, probably June some time, then I'll just get rid of the 13/14 category altogether.

It's pretty easy to see if they don't have the italics confirmation next to them, they're still up in the air. Most clubs only have 1-5 "free" guys anyway. When the season is closer, and the squads have been finalised, I'd very much like to see a "Released from last season" part for each club.

Bernie Ibini signs for Sydney FC. As it's a loan I'm going to assume it's just for the season. EDIT: yep, just one season http://au.fourfourtwo.com/forums/default.aspx?g=posts&t=93057&p=1Quote:Richard Bayliss @RichBaylissFOX 7m DONE: Sydney FC have signed Bernie Ibini from Shanghai East Asia. Heart have signed Connor Chapman & James Brown on "multi year deals". When Chapman was released by the Jerks there was 2 years being floated as the offer from Heart, but can't find anywhere the confirmed length of either deal. Is anyone reading this capable of tweeting people involved at Heart and asking them? http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/football/melbourne-heart-poach-newcastle-jets-talented-duo-connor-chapman-and-james-brown/story-fnk6rlg0-1226914874845Edited by pv4: 13/5/2014 07:07:14 AM

Added them as two years for now.
Corrected Heart with no Archibold.
Find it strange that none of the Melbourne teams use the NYL contracts. Heart have Mauk and Archibold who'd be perfect for it, Victory had/have a load of young attackers that should be on it.

Carney re-signed for 2 more seasons.
Once we get confirmation on Heskey & Nick Ward, that'll wrap up the Jerks 13/14 list

Only thing I THINK is wrong is Solari I thought was a NYL contract player. Maybe Nick Ward being a Scott Neville injury replacement, as opposed to his own squad spot, is what is screwing with your numbers?
