I didn't think the Lion had the licence for it.

Their website says every game live.
I havn't been in there in person for a couple months, so can't be certain.

I can't find any information on an official live site in Melbourne. Anyone know any better?
Uh...OP and the very first post in the thread?
What are you talking about? I'm looking for an official live site held in public space, not a pub. There was one in Birrarung Marr in 2010. Federation Square has held them in the past. But I can't find anything official for 2014.
Would be guttered if this doesn't happen. I've had some great memories there the atmosphere was amazing in 2006. My mates and I still talk about it today. Planned to get up at 5.30am, jump in the car and head over there..
Looks like the live site has moved to Piazza at Docklands

Did they deliberately look around for the coldest place in the country to host it?

The Sporting Globe at Fountain Gate is open for the aussie games. They have a few other venues around Melbourne which I assume will be open to.
