The chosen one is such a chess player its beyond laughs anymore, you couldn't trust a word that P says. Anyway back on the game - for all the cred manu are getting and deserved they fought as expected People are forgetting manu's goal was an own goal - sure many chances created but not taken. Rooney start imo, some of those Wellbeck chances at Ronney's boot may have done more damage ? Real have come off 2 big games v's barca that would have stretched their gas tank, probably explains them being flatish at times but their possession was still far more.

- yes it was an own goal, but the way that it was conceded would suggest that it was more deserved than luck. we were good in the build up and Nani put the ball in a very dangerous position, it's not like some sort of freak deflection - Rooney probably could not have created the chances that Welbeck did, fresh prince played an excellent game. admittedly his finish was left wanting and Rooney should've started. - we had a counter attack gameplan from the get go, so a lower possession % is hardly surprising. it's not like RM were doing any real damage anyway, before the red card we had all the best chances in the match and it took a stunner from Modric to equalise and spur them on

I think juve's defence is just too hard to break down hence all the crosses. still its been probably 3-1 in real chances but juve were able to convert their 1 chance.

Finito - Juve went through the motions done and dusted on the 1st leg, sorry hoops. PSG through as well finished as posted above. Solid strike by Jonas from outside the box look out for it. Edited by M.L.: 7/3/2013 08:42:44 AM

Oh well...outclassed, but not outplayed. Can't be disappointed with how our European season turned out. Considering no one even gave us a hope in the group stage, to get this far, with the wins we did, is phenomenal. Proud of the team.

It was a great campaign as you say Funky, not just what they achieved but how they went about it. Important for them to build on it next season, although that looks like a tough ask.

It's not violent conduct or serious foul play and therefore not a red card. It was reckless and warranted a yellow card and a freekick, nothing more. If that warrants a red card then everytime a player goes for an overhead kick and accidentally makes contact with an opposing player it should be a red card.

It's a complete accident. He is trying to control the ball, that's all. My question is how can anyone not see that. Forget the decision, how can't people see that he was looking at the ball. Free kick and a yellow at most.

Boot raised, studs first, makes no contact with the ball and gets nothing but player. It's a textbook red tbh.
