Honestly I'd say don't bother giving the spot. The real point/challenge of this is building your team, the rest is just watching what happens. Having missed 90% of the opening draft, anyone who comes isn't really going to be doing much. Better of just having a bye/vs Average each round tbh.

Yeah. but had 433 not been taking up that spot Moofa would have been able to bid on the players. Seems fair to me that he be able to either take an extra player as compensation for having all the good players snapped up, or he gets priority pick on Sept 1, which is probable given that he'll most likely have the most budget left over anyway.

Not sure if it has been decided or whether input is still worth contributing but I'm happy for moofa to have concessions for his late entry.
Maybe nothing for Sep 1, as theoretically he'll have the most money out of anyone and can jump on the late transfers (like if Reus, Vidal, Falcao, etc come in like the rumours say), but maybe he gets first draft in Jan? Not sure, whatever the majority decide.

There is a decent chance I am actually going to spend more than zimbo. I don't really know what is fair. I do not want an extra player. A boost to my draft spot would be nice even though I would feel kinda bad for cutting in-front of someone who purposely didn't spend a lot to get the late transfers.

So you can spend all 20m now if you want I can understand the reason behind offering him the free pick. It is a bit of a problem when you think about who he could have bid on initially. In saying that, a current budget of 20 mill could see him outbid most of us still left in the draft, and pick up some decent players, as most probably don't have more than 7mill remaining, and need to budget for the Sept pick. pv4 makes a valid point about theoretically having the most money, but then that only happens if he spends his money wisely now. I am actually torn on this one.

Theoretically the majority of the best scoring 60 players in the league have already gone, the draft is neccessary for him to be competitive.
