The tl;dr of Scolls first two points is a very simple No True Scotsman fallacy. It follows the logic that says 'any Christian that believes gay people should be stoned to death isn't really a Christian".
Feminism as an egalitarian notion has been dying since the the days of Andrea Dworkin and Gloria Steinem and has been gradually sliding further into the realm of supremacism ever since.
Fredstas post is great at addressing other points.

Just to add for a bit more clarity on my position, because Scoll seems to be implying in his post that he KNOWS why some men (ignoring the very large population of Women Against Feminism) are speaking out against modern feminism. For the record, I am not against feminism itself by its wiki definition. wikipedia wrote:Feminism is a collection of movements and ideologies that share a common goal: to define, establish, and achieve equal political, economic, cultural, personal, and social rights for women. This includes seeking to establish equal opportunities for women in education and employment. Even by Scolls very flawed definition I would also be considered to be a feminist, and because written definition is so often completely at odds with feminism in action I am still considered to be an anti-feminist. The biggest thing that irks me about feminism is that it has become an echo-chamber of authoritarianism, and I am vehemently anti-authoritarian in believing that all adults are capable of being responsible for their own actions and choices. As a political function, the only thing that modern, western, radical third wave feminism has achieved has been to push the moderate leftists and egalitarians such as myself to being more sympathetic with the right side of libertarianism. So congrat-u-fucking-lations on that, feminists. Edited by notorganic: 21/3/2015 06:35:46 PM

*BUMP* This thread deserves to be kept alive. And Clem Ford deserves to be deported to a nation where she can experience first-hand what real oppression feels like. She would be a much lesser concern (like that shrill, base troll Catherine Deveney) if her blatant misandry and comical hypocrisy (women should be given all the same rights and privileges as men but suggesting they also take any degree of responsibility for their actions makes you a disgusting rape-apologist) wasn't somehow considered main-steam feminism or so widely embraced by impressionable young women who already have a staggering sense of entitlement and a complete lack of awareness for just how privileged being a PERSON living in a country like Australia makes you.. Read Clem's rant this morning - whilst I fully agree with her that women should have the right to take (or have taken) any pictures they want, and also have the right to not expect them to be pasted up on the internet at a later date without their permission... It's taking the piss to think that women don't have a hint of responsibility about who they share these pictures with. Asshats will be asshats - avoid dating them, and certainly avoid sharing photographs which may be embarrassing with them.

Starting to notice the trend now with the radical feminists on the internet that when they reach a certain level of popularity (be it Twitter or Facebook followers) they hit this ceiling and its "donate me money in order to keep me preaching". And people throw boatloads of cash at them lol. -PB

Can I just ask why you blokes are checking out websites like mammia? Isn't that some sort of hangout for mums? Save yourselves the grief and just don't go there. (Same as this Clem Sheila.) I specifically don't read what Andrew Bolt writes and if Ray Hadley or Alan Jones comes on the radio I switch stations so I don't blow a gasket. Who needs the grief? There are bigger "injustices" in the world to be worried about.

I've had nude pictures of pretty much every woman I've ever been 'romantically' involved with, not one of them has been shared outside the relationship. In other words, ladies... Don't date an arsehole then complain that he was an arsehole - date nice guys, like me!

I don't get that. Because of the 1 in 10 000 chance there may be a pae_do about I can't take photos of my kids at their swimming carnival. Ridiculous. If some pervert wants to wank himself off over some kiddy pictures surely he can just google "kids in a swimming pool" and fill his boots? And even if he did manage to sneak a couple of photos of your kids I'm not sure it'd worry me. Like how do you know he's going to use them for nefarious purposes anyway?

Every photo you take has a level of risk in terms of falling into the wrong hands. It's great that you're not worried about it but others would be. It's all about being aware that these things can happen. Some people are completely clueless when it comes to technology. I would put nude photos and sending them to a stranger (even if Benjamin says he's a nice guy ) as a riskier venture than any photo that I'd take of my kids but it's the same principle.
