Melbourne is...good, but I wouldn't want to live there if I could help it.

So expensive, the place im living right now is 3 bed, 2 bath and its 450 a week, the same place in QLD would be 300-350. Fucking miners. That's cute. $450 bucks a week in Sydney for a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom flat would be amazing.   Im talking 20mins north of Perth, not Perth itself. Dont know what the Sydney equivalent would be, Living in or near Perth would be ridiculous. Edited by shaker: 30/10/2014 11:07:03 PM Are you talking suburbia? 20 minutes North of the Sydney CBD, you hit the Lower North Shore/Northern Beaches. You're living in a bus shelter essentially if you're only paying $450. Go 20 mins South, you hit Rockdale area. Once again, laughing if you're paying around $450. Go West, you're around Leichhardt/Ashfield. $450 a week might get you a place just off Parramatta Road. Sydney is the most expensive city in the country. Yeah Sydney is ridiculous, Perth is 2nd in COL im pretty sure.

(More cosmopolitan) Sydney is like LA , beach, expensive, celebs, try hards Sydney doesn't have fashion, shopping, events and restaurants? Fuck me, well I must be living in a fantasy universe. Last time I checked Sydney has all of them including the highest rated restaurant in Australia. I'm not sure how much more "try hard" you can get than shopping and fashion in any case, fuck sake

Newcastle is great if you're into great beaches and easily accessible illicit narcotics (and weed)
