Spurs dont have enough players to field a second string side. Though they plead 'second string' when things go wrong.

I'm fairly certain our under 18's have beaten Bristol Rovers reserves in the recent future, so you'd be wrong there.

And no team ever replaces 11 first team players with 11 2nd choicers. Spurs haven't had a definitive 'best XI' this season, so saying what is the best team is debatable. Either way, unlike Blyth MkII said, Shaktar was hardly 'not expected to be a match', especially in sub zero temperatures at home.

I'll assume you mean that Spurs U18's have beaten Bristol Rovers U18's in the recent past, and you'd be wrong. Their U18's did beat Bristol City U18's (5-3 and 3-0), but they're an entirely different team. :-"

We didnt play 11 second teamers. Reina, Carra, Agger, Arbeloa, Masch, Aurelio all started.
At least the first 5 are first teamers.

Arbeloa isn't a first team-er! And neither is Agger this season. And I'd consider Alonso and Gerrard our first choice mids. Not realy surprisingly, Insua has been first choice LB of late. So that crosses four of your 'first team-ers' off the list.

Starts for Dossena: 5
Starts for Agger: 5
Starts for Insua: 4

Starts for Arbeloa: 8
Starts for Masch: 9

Aurelio or Dossena.. take your pick. Either way, they both started v Pompey.

Arbeloa has started 30 times this season!! I think that constitutes first team.
Same goes for Masch. Hes started 24 times.
Agger has started 18 times. Maybe not first team I guess. Arbeloa, Masch, Reina and Carra are all first teamers. 100%.
