Bit hard to make that call when Lamela hasn't been given a decent chance to perform. From what I recall he was pretty good against Tromso.

Townsend has been great while Lamela truly sucks as a winger where he's been played. And that's the thing - he's a striker, needs to get time up front otherwise buying him was useless.

Townsend hasn't done anything to get dropped and with Siggy scoring goals from the left it's hard for Lamela to get a start in the prem. when it comes to Europe however, he'll be the starting option.
