Dier looks a very good player, good business.
What happens when Walker is back though? Does he play CB next to Jan? Definitely, he is a CB after all. Walker will need to fight for his place once he comes back, something which hadn't been needed for years. Loving our depth across the park, Lloris, Eriksen and Lamela are probably our only nailed on starters ATM =p~

Depth... what depth? Our midfield has a bad game and we get pumped by Liverpool. Liverpool played very well but we created almost nothing.
Lloris and Kaboul were poor for the first. Lloris should have done better and Kaboul was out of position.
Poor set piece delivery from Eriksen. Lamela gave the ball away a lot. Bentaleb and Capoue allowed Liverpool to get at the back four far too easily.
Not much went right. Back down to earth we plummet.

I just watched that pool game and honestly it felt like no sp*rs players were even interested to be out there.

You can't play your game when you have your opponents putting pressure on the ball reciever and inturn we being better all round. pv remember the 2 pool arse games from last season - your lot were much the same ;) Overall I thought spurs looked very dangerous at times, their time will come, I expect they to get some points from the gooners this season :p

The worrying thin is that everyone knows liverpool press and play with pace and it seemed like there was no plan b for us.

I get the 5-1 at Anfield but what other game are you talking about? The one where we beat you 2-0 or the FA Cup game where we beat you 2-1?

In the league, until last season, they'd beaten us at least once every season since 2009/10.

Kaboom was fantastic last night. Shows what he can do when he has a decent partner in defence.
 at Arsene complaining about time wasting and parking the bus when his team were the champions of it in the early 2000's  Whinging prick, same as his fans who think a few still frames can over rule goal line technology  They should look at themselves as to why they couldn't break down our back 4 instead of blaming everyone else. They had like 20 set pieces.

People are going on about us parking the bus but if you look at it we had just as many clear cut chances. Chadli, Mason & Ade all had very good chances. Arsenal dominated the first 20, we dominated the end of the 1st half and they killed us after HT. Just their way of showing how bitter they are.

Was strange seeing a Sp*rs side playing more for the draw than the win, but it worked so can't really fault you.

It ewas also bizarre to see Kyle Naughton keep Ozil in his pocket most of the game. Probably our worst player last season and yet in his preferred position he's actually decent. Keep it up!!!

Today marks 10 years since the death of the great Bill Nicholson.
RIP, legend of the club and the game.

'It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we of Spurs have set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory.'
One of the greatest quotes from him, hopefully we can do the job tomorrow for him!

Kane has got to be pushing for a start. I'd love to try and play Bob into form but do we have the patience for it?

We could go for a 4-4-2 with Soldado and Kane up front but I think Eriksen is wasted out wide. We could try having Lamela and Eriksen roaming in between the strikers and DM's but that would leave us short at the back. Also pretty harsh to drop Chadli ATM.
Also Lamela's first goal was one for the ages.

Adebayor genuinely needs to be on a month to month contract.

Ok so it's almost January, who do you reckon we should bring in? I'd love Bony tbh.
In an ideal world this is who I would hope us to buy/sell
IN: Wilfried Bony Steven Caulker Miguel Lopes
OUT: Emmanuel Adebayor Paulinho Vlad Chiriches Benoit Assou-Ekotto
Would mean our stocks looked like this
GK: Hugo Lloris Michel Vorm Brad Friedel
RB: Kyle Walker Miguel Lopes Kyle Naughton Eric Dier
CB: Jan Vertonghen Steven Caulker Federico Fazio Younes Kaboul Eric Dier
LB: Ben Davies Danny Rose Miguel Lopes Kyle Naughton
DM: Moussa Dembele Ettiene Capoue Ryan Mason Benjamin Stambouli Nabil Bentaleb
RM: Erik Lamela Andros Townsend Aaron Lennon
LM: Nacer Chadli Christian Eriksen Andros Townsend
AM: Christian Eriksen Moussa Dembele Erik Lamela Nacer Chadli Ryan Mason
ST: Wilfried Bony Harry Kane Roberto Soldado
But I doubt any of this would happen  In other news, I'm warming to the idea of playing Soldado as a 10.

Almost January? Your LM looks very week on that list. Eriksen doesn't play well there and Townsend doesn't look like taking the step up required.
Not sure about your DM depth either. Mason has looked promising but I don't think that list is strong enough for top 4 ambitions.
Either way, you'd be paying way over the odds to strengthen those positions in January.

Last night was the worst Spurs performance i've ever seen. I bet our pass completion was below 70%. Our pass completion for pass>10m would be lucky to be 30%.

Surprised not more has been made of him having the worst win% of any Sp*rs PL manager at this stage of the season since Santini.

We're just sick of having new managers.

Late show away again!
Kane was class, in the end we were relatively lucky to win that game. A draw would have been fair. Where we moved greatly this week compared to the Palace game is our rotation in the front third, going forward Kane, Soldado, Eriksen and Lamela were rotating so much that Swansea found it hard to mark them. Walker was a bit rusty but still showed how important he is to us. I think the team we played last night is probably the best we could field ATM (or at least we are definitely able to now). It's been a good 2 years since we've had that. Also, Mason has been excellent. The combination of Nabil and Ryan works well because they compliment each other brilliantly.

I'm willing to give Erik until the end of the season, Soldado probably has until January I'd say. Last night for me was confirmation that Bony would be excellent for us. Although in Soldado's defence his general play has improved. I think I would warm to Lamela a lot more if not for that dodgy haircut
