Coach’s Summary: A disappointing end of what could have been a fantastic cup run. We tried to race out of the blocks and before their first goal we created a host of chances, but the amount of players we were committing forward bit us on the bum as they scored on the break. There was almost no action between the goals, but it was a brilliant finish across the keeper from 11.mvfc.11 that put us in front. But then just when we were turning the game around they got a corner and some poor defending inside our own six yard box cost us a place in the next round. It is very unfortunate but the good news is that we can now focus purely on the league and lessen the fixture congestion in future months.

Milan_7 was fantastic scoring 2 and getting an assist but we are devastated that we haven’t won that match and we now are 6 games without a win. Coach’s Summary: Ok, we didn’t lose and it is great to nab a point off a game where it looked like we wouldn’t get any, but God damn that is frustrating. They dominated the first 10 minutes and scored one, we dominated the next 80 and waited until there was two minutes left to score. It was pleasing to see a substitute score and it was a very good goal too, especially for someone who had gone a very long time without scoring. This result though makes it very tough for a top 2 finish, and now we must focus on staying in the top 6 and hopefully coming in at 4th.

Coach’s Summary: That is what football is all about! We really needed the win today and we got what we deserved. The match started off slow with no action in the first half but in the second half it was all us, we were zipping the ball around to great effect and should have had more goals. We were even able to welcome back macktheknife who made his long awaited return when Redkat picked up an injury in the second half. It looked like we would get nothing from the match until late on though. When we got a corner and 99 Problems put in one of the most important goals of the season. Get in lads! In other news Norwich have mathematically secured the title with a win over Derby.

Coach’s Summary: So the regular season is over and the playoffs will now begin. Because of Cardiff’s win over Derby we move down to fifth, a position which does not really reflect the way we have played this season. One does wonder if not for injuries and the amount of players we lost in the Asian Cup, where we could have finished.    We were only seven points behind Wigan and there were certainly more than seven points dropped in that period. So now we await the playoffs, two dates with Cardiff. While Bournemouth take on Middlesbrough. Who will join Norwich and Wigan in the Premier League? We shall soon find out.
