Moenchengladbach won the Bundesliga (Bayern came 4th), PSG won the Ligue 1, Barcelona won the Liga BBVA, Juventus won the Serie A and beat Arsenal in the Champions League final, Galatasaray beat Atletico in the Europa League final, Chelsea beat Man United in the FA Cup final and Spurs won the League Cup final.

Coach’s Summary: What a start to life in the Premier League! We rushed out of the blocks in the first 10 minutes after milan_7 scored a stunning free kick inside 90 seconds and then BusbyBabe put in a delicious cross which macktheknife finished off 8 minutes later. But despite that, we trailed off as the game wore on. We were still the better side in the rest of the first half but in the second half we were lucky not to concede more. We will have to improve against stiffer opposition.

Coach’s Summary: A below par performance to be honest. It was pretty even and an exciting match up but in my opinion Hull will go down this year as their squad is pretty weak. We need to improve our defensive shape and our defensive set pieces because it is not good enough at the moment. In other news Redkat picked up an injury in training and will be out for 2 weeks.

Coach’s Summary: A thoroughly professional performance. We put out a weak team because of how close the games were in time and we still were good. We probably should have won by more but I am thrilled we kept a clean sheet because our defending has been poor so far this season. We have also drawn West Brom away in the next around.


FourFourTwo FC 3-2 Norwich

Coach’s Summary: Decent. We went in front early again due to another goal from macktheknife who continued his (dare I say it) #filthy form. Then either side of the break pv4 gave away TWO penalties which Grabban converted, but from there we fought back and in the end we picked up a deserved three points. It was also great to see Glory von Perth finally break his goalscoring drought after going 27 games without a goal.

FourFourTwo FC have dominated the Premier League Young Player of the month award for August as milan_7, macktheknife and 11.mvfc.11 came in at 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.

And Woo-hoo! \:d/ I wouldn't expect many goals, a deeper-lying midfielder, defensive half player and a 'Finishing' rating that should be between 7 and 10, at most. My guy is in fair part, 'assembled' as an 'assist man' - with his passing qualities amongst his strongest attributes - so I'm curious how many assists he's gotten? I have some passing 'specialities' or whatever they're called, too - like 'Tries Killer Balls', 'looks to pass instead of shoot' etc... so my guy should be trying some neat passes and 'one-two' team-play in-games - is he?

BTW Those are just cards with statistics - are you able to post screen caps of the actual in-game profiles of our players, with the attribute ratings etc..? Because we all submitted the details with attributes and I'm sure we're all curious to see how those submissions successfully translated into the game - especially when you had the CA limitation of 100-130 or whatever it was? :-k

Also, thanks for the efforts thus far Milan_7, glad to see it active again and progressing nicely! With the team and it's squad gelling far more we can all expect this team to be performing much better, to your tactics and putting in a more consistent run of results. I've experienced that in FM too as I too often under-take a substantive squad over-haul in pre-season and it naturally takes most of the first season to integrate new signings and get them adjusting to your style and even training.

Coach’s Summary: Poor display in a game where a win would have been necessary. Our next two EPL games are against Man United and Liverpool and after that result we could be in for a lean September. We never looked like winning and the only time we threatened them was from free kicks, with milan_7 scoring one, hitting the woodwork twice and setting up pv4 for the second goal from a dead ball situation. Unfortunately though we were too sloppy at the back and we will have to improve if we want to get anything from the champions of England.

Coach’s Summary: We put out a weak team and paid the price, beaten by the team that knocked us out the cup last year. I am frustrated though because Lee Probert made two decisions which cost us the game. Firstly awarding them a penalty where the contact was so slight that Berahino didn’t even bother to dive, and then disallowing a goal for offside when macktheknife was level (ok that one was technically the linesman’s fault, so fuck him too). We are now out the cup and have failed to meet our expectations in the Capital One Cup.

Coach’s Summary: Shocking end to a shocking month. It was always going to be tough going to Anfield but with the players we have I honestly thought we had a shot, but in the end we could barely even get a shot on target. We tried to change the formation up to suit a counter attacking style of play but they killed us with the extra time and space. Balotelli and Sturridge would continuously split and drag our centre backs out of position which game more time for Sterling and Henderson who would bomb on. And to make it all worse, the hubcaps have been stolen off of our team bus.

FourFourTwo FC have completed the expansion of their stadium to make it an all-seater venue, they have also increased the capacity by 3,000 to take its capacity up to 25,000.

In other news, macktheknife will be out for 3-4 weeks after he sustained an injury in today’s game.

In the end after the red card we had a few chances and if any team deserved to win it was us.

Just got job offers from Borussia Moechengladbach and Southampton on the same day. Obviously not taking it but pretty cool to get, especially seeing BMG won the league last year (although they are in 16th now).

So I finally get my first game as a winger for the club, get MOTM and then get sent back to defence for the next match. [-(

Very happy to score another goal, especially seeing as though it was a pretty important one. Two draws against two top-draw teams is a great result too - shame about the big loss though.

In usual formation we play with out and out wingers, a position that you don't rate too highly in. In that game we played a 442 so you were the best player for that. But obviously it didn't work seeing we got killed, so the only option was back to full back.
