Coach’s Summary: Decent away win. Wigan is a side we should be beating and we did the job. Milan_7 scored yet another free kick and then assisted jparraga to give us the win and jparraga again proved why he deserves to be starting every week. In other news, milan_7 now has 8 league goals this season. The same amount as he had in the entirety of last season. Four of his goals have been free kicks.

So, how bout the rest of us? ;) :) BTW Those are just cards with statistics - are you able to post screen caps of the actual in-game profiles of our players, with the attribute ratings etc..? Because we all submitted the details with attributes and I'm sure we're all curious to see how those submissions successfully translated into the game - especially when you had the CA limitation of 100-130 or whatever it was? :-k

DECEMBER UPDATE FourFourTwo FC 2-3 SouthamptonStarting XI: A16Man, Fredsta, 99 Problems, Glory von Perth, inala brah, chillbilly, Draupinho (quichefc 84’), BusbyBabe, milan_7, Redkat, 11.mvfc.11 Goalscorers: Redkat (pen 6’, 27’) Lucas Pratto (28’, 60’) Adam Szalai (54’) MOTM: Redkat Coach’s Summary: Disgraceful, absolutely disgraceful. We went two goals up and let ourselves get cocky and then we blew it. 11.mvfc.11 had a poor day at the office and missed 3 or 4 fantastic chances. He has now scored 6 goals in 14 games this season which does not even come close to last seasons form, it is not bad but most of his goals in recent games have been in games we have one by more than one anyway. We now have City next week and will be missing Redkat who picked up a neck injury and will be out for 2 weeks, that adds to our growing list of injured wingers with jparraga and macktheknife injured at the moment and BusbyBabe having just recovered. Uh oh. Man City 4-2 FourFourTwo FCStarting XI: A16Man, Fredsta, pv4, Glory von Perth, inala brah (Roar_Brisbane 55’), zimbos, quichefc, BusbyBabe, milan_7, chillbilly, 11.mvfc.11 Goalscorers: Yaya Toure (8’) Sergio Aguero (23’, 45’, 90+1) 11.mvfc.11 (52’) Quichefc (pen 60’) MOTM: quichefc Coach’s Summary: We dug ourselves a whole we couldn’t get out of, despite a good second half. We were utterly dominated in the first 45 minutes and they deserved more goals. But in the second half we turned it up and played them off the park, if it wasn’t for some sloppy finishing we could have got a point. But that first half was not good enough and we paid the price. FourFourTwo FC 2-2 Everton Starting XI: A16Man, Fredsta, pv4, quichefc, inala brah, BusbyBabe, zimbos, Draupinho, Roar_Brisbane, 11.mvfc.11, gabgabgab39 Goalscorers: Gabgabgab39 (24’, pen 90’) Aiden McGeady (28’, 45’) MOTM: gabgabgab39 Coach’s Summary: Decent draw against a good side but we were poor. We changed the formation to a 4-4-2 and for the most part it failed. I was however, pleased to see gab score as he has struggled for form since the beginning of last year. 11.mvfc.11 was once again quiet and our midfield was very weak. Our defence was not too bad but still let McGeady and Emenike free way too often. West Brom 1-2 FourFourTwo FC Starting XI: A16Man, Fredsta, 99 Problems, quichefc, inala brah, BusbyBabe, zimbos, Draupinho, Roar_Brisbane (macktheknife 71’), 11.mvfc.11, gabgabgab39 Goalscorers: Mario Pasalic (39’) Gabgabgab39 (pen 67’, 73’) MOTM: gabgabgab39 Coach’s Summary: Good comeback after a poor first half. Gab once again notched a brace and continued to show that he should be a regular starter. The rest of the side was not that great though, and 11.mvfc.11 was a passenger. We were sound defensively though, and our midfielders did just about enough without being fantastic. FourFourTwo FC 2-5 Arsenal Starting XI: A16Man, Fredsta, 99 Problems, quichefc, inala brah, BusbyBabe, zimbos, Draupinho, Roar_Brisbane (macktheknife 71’), 11.mvfc.11, gabgabgab39 Goalscorers: Theo Walcott (5’, 38’, 42’, 76’) BusbyBabe (15’, 60‘) Yaroslav Rakitskyi (51’) MOTM: BusbyBabe Coach’s Summary: Sure the result wasn’t fantastic, but it isn’t all bad. Arsenal played some incredible football and at times looked absolutely irresistible. The passed the ball around beautifully and used the pace of Theo Walcott to full effect. But it wasn’t just Walcott who caused us problems. The likes of Verratti and Ramsey were excellent and started a lot of the play while Rakitskyi and Mertesacker were consistently breaking up the play. Our defending was poor but we put up a fight going forward and I honestly believe that we are one of the few teams in the league who wouldn’t get beaten by 5 or 6 goals when Arsenal are in this mood. But next game is a big one, a boxing day clash against our biggest rivals, QPR. Only 160 metres separate Loftus Road and Australia Road and we are set on shutting up our biggest rivals. QPR 0-3 FourFourTwo FC Starting XI: A16Man, Fredsta, 99 Problems (quichefc 81’), Glory von Perth, Roar_Brisbane, zimbos, Draupinho (chillbilly 69’), BusbyBabe, milan_7 (Redkat 69’), macktheknife, 11.mvfc.11 Goalscorers: Draupinho (41’) Macktheknife (pen 61’) 11.mvfc.11 (63’) MOTM: 11.mvfc.11 Coach’s Summary: What a performance in a massive game. We were excellent from start to finish and looked like a different team. We changed back to the 4-2-3-1 and it worked a lot better and 11.mvfc.11 showed the form he did last season. To be fair though, QPR were poor and showed about as much creativity as their advertising boards (the fact that you need to put the name of the club and the stadium’s name around the ground dozens of times says a lot about their intelligence). Swansea 1-1 FourFourTwo FC Starting XI: A16Man, Fredsta, quichefc, Glory von Perth, inala brah, zimbos (chillbilly 20’), Draupinho (The Maco 89’), jparraga, milan_7, Redkat (gabgabgab39 71’), 11.mvfc.11 Goalscorers: Redkat (5’) Ki Sung-Yeung (28’) MOTM: 11.mvfc.11 Coach’s Summary: Definition of a ‘meh’ game. Not much action and pretty slow paced, draw was probably a fair result. Gabgabgab39 was good off the bench but we were not that great and dropped in standard, perhaps the heavy schedule is getting to us. Probably going to have to field a weakened side in the FA Cup against Barnsley in 3 days. TABLE1. Man City PTS 54 2. Chelsea PTS 47 3. Arsenal PTS 40 4. Man United PTS 40 5. Tottenham PTS 37 6. Can I join the team? Yes pretty much. You can join the team if you like but you won't be able to change the stats like the others could because I don't have the in-game editor.

^ lol Nice pick-up Draupnir - FTR 6 goals for a DM still pretty good! Apologies Milan_7, that I asked that question a few times (And if you had already answered it?) - I presumed it was lost in the pile, though if your previous answer lost in the pile (to me), then my bad, sorry. BTW I'm a 'slight nerd' in this area, so sorry if I come across pestering a bit. When I play FM and some other games with detail, I can delve into that detail and with a game like FM, I'm sure I'm hardly the only one. The database IS huge and ever more comprehensive. The ratings and statistics, I comb over like a fine tooth-comb when scouting players - usually using FMScout, aswell as extra details, including miscellaneous and demands, in-game. As too club details, associations, scouting opponents for games, adjusting tactics, training etc... Quasi-perfectionist I guess, but also part of the dual-side appeal/utter-frustration the game can be and that thin-line between immersive fun and getting entirely sick of it, due to that kind of obsession in pre-season recruiting, preparation etc.. not paying off in results or outcomes you seek, seeing you break from the game altogether for indefinitely long periods, like I have for about a good year now, lols. FTR I think I expect too much, too soon, with my teams, especially with all the changes - but like you even said about your 'guy' - it seemed to take him a full season and a bit, before he really hit his straps with your club. Flipside, I can NEVER play FM to the extent where I have a club many seasons in, like into the 2020s or so and getting thicker into a more 'regen-orientated' database. I've read of many FM Hard-cores who do that.

Not to make this thread about me, but I did for a little while, well stuff like Fantasy A-League. I'm well past that now. It's more just FM where I played the game like that, as that is part of the game. I rather play games now which are shorter, simpler, convenient and more self-contained, like some Multi-player FPS and RTS.
With Milan_7's game, I wonder how long he will run 'our' game? Season 2 thus far - I presume he will say 'for aslong as he enjoys it'.

Edited by GloryPerth: 11/6/2015 05:16:09 AM Basically until the start of FM16, I love FM and kind of feel an obligation to at least keep this going. I have just been very busy in the last week, and I have exams this week so unlikely that there will be an update. It is in Jan too so there is like 7 games compared to the usual 3 or 4. When it is short updates I can knock out a couple in a few days.

I love looking at how the game has developed around the world even if I am 3 years in. I am currently doing a save with Reggina which I am 3 seasons in so this is the closest I have come to the 2020 mark, certainly in this version of the game. Thanks Milan and yeah I'm similar - I've never got more than a couple seasons in, so I've never really played the game properly. Just takes a fair bit of time and investment and my game habits have changed a fair bit, as too free time, since I first got into the game. I think I'm more into the 'initial transformation' of a team, getting that team gelling and cementing the change enough for some kind of legacy - quite akin to Ange's stint at the Roar really. Not really interested in 5-6, 10 season dynasties. :p
Thanks for sharing the card - Seems pretty right! Glad to have been capped by Australia too. :)
Hmm I wonder who the 'most expensive' player on our team is? Some of our leading players must be well over the 10M Pound mark?! :o

^ Gee those are some decent values. :o IIRC I would've been stoked to have some more players of such values, in my squad - especially if they weren't purchased for anywhere near that price! 8)
So how are 'we' going in the EPL, Milan_7 - any updates?

So how are 'we' going in the EPL, Milan_7 - any updates? I have been very busy the past three weeks, but played a few games a couple days ago. In January we always have like 7/8 matches compared to the standard 3/4 so that makes it hard to. But I have been slack and hopefully will have it up by Monday :)

So I signed Matthew Leckie who was going to take on the role of salmon fc, then he signs and I get told he doesn't have a work permit. I appeal and it's rejected so now I can't appeal for another 120 days.
Also from now on I'm not doing a summary after each game, instead I will at the end of each month in an attempt to get more consistent updates.
