I think after this win - it should be incumbent on them to show up now. They were always expected to have half decent support from atleast the local Chinese community anyway, but if they do surprise and go further than expected then the Chinese support needs to respond in-kind!

Agreed - A few Saudis already rightfully drew a few yellows, but there was one I mentioned earlier, which was a side-on/behind scissor kick, that only draw a foul - not even a yellow! Was a definite yellow! Yet, there they carry on about the studs up challenge by the SK player a bit later. If anything SK robbed of another yellow against SA, in a game where the Saudi's sought to rightly manipulate their superiority in strength and physicality. But despite this, China coped surprisingly well with this - which was very important and contributed to their earning this win. Their improved organisation under Perrin is a big factor in their improved performance.

I supposed there's an 'indirect subsidy' via the falling oil price, largely helped by the likes of Saudi Arabia and other OPEC nations amping/keeping up Oil production to put the squeeze on US suppliers. :/ ;p Hopefully paying relatively less at the bowser relieves some of the pain of this recent flutter.
