Asian visitors need to learn about Australian culture, that means petty bureaucracy hassling them for no purpose at every available opportunity.

Drove on the M4 in Sydney this afternoon and noticed that the 'ANZ' from the large "ANZ Stadium" sign on the outside of the stadium had been taken down for the tournament.
I keep forgetting how petty the AFC is with regards to advertising at their games. At the ACL games at Parramatta they had the Coca Cola logos covered up with paper at the canteens.

More poor behaviour from the usual suspects yesterday. The whole affair was a fun day with no malicious intent from anyone bar the authorities, who are constantly the only source of trouble at these games. Police felt it was necessary to come into the stands in numbers and continue their usual bullshit in the active bay (who were totally harmless), trying to confiscate tifo and Palestinian signs made by supporters. Meanwhile around the ground, the many fans who brought in Basque, Scotland, Ireland or Catalonia flags in solidarity with Palestinians also were harassed by seccos and police. There were a bunch of Celtic fans with a Irish flag in the corner who got a visit from police who told to sit down and shut up for the serious crime of standing up and chanting to loud.

Yep, Saw a guy get removed from the stands for displaying a Scottish flag and showing his support for Palestine. We need to film the security, and collate it together to show how fucking retarded and overbearing they are. It has to stop.

I was the one with the giant north korea flag at the ksa game that got taken down, it was due to the size of the flag not the flag its self, I wonder if the restrictions are different for you average a-league game and the asian cup

Security tried to confiscate 'Freedom for Palestine' banners at yesterday's game. Did not succeed when they saw the crowd react as one.

I would say that this was interpreted as a political statement, which is not allowed under FIFA rules. Whether it is right or wrong is not up for debate, as they are clearly the laws.

Sitting next to Japanese supporters, they've already had a banner taken off of them because they were taking a photo with it and were standing in the aisle

Disturbing to read many of these comments.
I hope visiting fans from overseas feel the Asian Cup is a positive experience.

Saw a security person at the Japan V Jordan game at AAMI Park allow 6 spectators in through the gate by shifting the side barrier. They quickly ran through without scanning any tickets. not sure where they sat, but they certainly got in.
