Nay, Aussie hip-hop lived and died with TZU and those of The Herd fame. After that I was out.

Run the Jewels should have been #1.
Hopefully Amity take a top 10 spot, if Cosby Sweater gets in I'm moving to Syria.

They're really dragging this out aren't they?
Normally this finishers about now.
I liked seasons - waiting on you. I think it was 23.

Man everyone sounds mad that talk is cheap is #1 Personally I thought out of Chet faker's songs 1998 would've taken it but hey he had 3 in the top 10 so that's a fair effort

Good song but not my fave of the year. 1998 is better anyway. His old stuff is much better than his new stuff. His new album is terribly boring unless I'm in a maddddd Chet mood

Seems like another of those "song everyone agrees is okay" no. 1's.
I don't get the love for that vocal style, but the countdown was enjoyable enough

Love Chet. Is amazing live and thought that would be his highest song. Amazing to think he wrote and produced the whole album himself. Thought Peking Duck would get 1 but glad they didn't. Sis might've actually been a victim of mainstream success, almost guarantee chandelier goes higher if it wasn't absolutely flogged on mainstream radio to the point many J listeners hated it.

I love this "musical democracy" as much as the Democratic Republic of North Korea loves democracy

Good to see that Triple J banned Taylor Swift so they could provide a launching pad for up and coming artists like Bruno Mars & Foo Fighters, would've been a travesty if they'd missed out

As for the Foo Fighters, they have their rightful consideration for the 100 as a legacy artist, as did Uptown Funk which got a shitload of playtime on JJJ this year, Swift not so much.

As they wrote in the "8 reasons you won't hear Taylor Swift" article, if they let this one go they open the voting up to any song released that pop-bandwagoners want to jump on next year for the sake of da trollz. Someone mashes up Crazy Frog feat. Rick Astley and releases it, number 1 hit lol!
Was only going to get to #12 anyway apparently.

Hipsters don't want their party crashed
They want to listen to their type of 'music'
Once revolutionary, 'alternative' and 'cool', its amazing how tepid and bland it becomes when the alternative penetrates the mainstream
Its like the political pov triple j harbours, believing they should legalise marijuana every 6 weeks, because they feel the need to run with that story
Its the other side, being the other side, for the sake of being the other side
Now, get a haircut and get a real job!
