If Jordan sneaks a 1-0 win, this will go to penalties, assuming Iraq beats Palestine to put them all on 6 points. (I think)

Actually no, that would make 6 total goals scored to Japan's 5 in the whole group. Bugger, one condition left before going to penalties.

If Iran finish second in group C what's the chance of Japan throwing away this game to avoid Iran and Australia?
They obviously won't say it even if they intend it, but we might see a really weak lineup.

Hoping for a Jordan win. That would completely open up our side of the draw with Sth Korea, Japan and Iran all on the same side of the draw.

Table of outcomes for the match. The background of the cells is the group winner, the x is the runner up, colours as they are in the titles. Outcomes for that special case of Jordan winning by 1 and Iraq winning by 4 in terms of goals scored by Japan and Iraq: Grey are apparently when it starts getting to things like discipline (Japan having 2 points and Iraq 5 at this point). In all cases of Jordan winning though, it seems they go through top.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

does jordan have any game plan? this is about the worst attacking performance i have seen in the whole cup. defend, defend, defend - launch the ball directly to the japanese centrebacks - and repeat. Edited by inala brah: 20/1/2015 08:48:55 PM
