With today being washed out as well, should the scheduling team consider playing a one day game tomorrow at the SCG?

Edited by condemned666: 6/1/2016 08:07:12 AM Why not, Or a 20/20 game. All proceeds go to Jane Mcgrath foundation.

Something like this would be a good idea Abandon test and declare a draw and have a hit about for charity. Can also throw in Mel McLaughin to throw a few over at Chris Gayle for a laugh.

Very Good win by the Stars. Boland and Hastings were great like usual. Maxwell and Wright made the chase easy. Losing Boland and Maxwell is going to be tough.

Honestly didn't think we were gonna win that when Bailey came to the crease and we looked poor. -PB

its not often that a player gets 150 and is the reason that a team lost 300 is too low a score against top class odi opposition these days

Alot easier to chase big scores these days thanks to T20 Format.

I wouldn't say it necessarily aids chasing, just that it has pushed the average scores up dramatically compared to the increase between the 70's and early 00's. 300 is 2005's 240. Batting friendly wickets don't help either. Edited by 11.mvfc.11: 13/1/2016 02:12:20 PM That pitch was lifeless yesterday.

Maxwell said it best during the test series on ABC, so much is done nowdays to benefit batsmen and not enough to help bowlers. -PB

Don't know what it is about him but I really just don't like Mark Howard on commentary for BBL. Maybe it's because he was an AFL stooge on Ten or something I dunno. -PB

grazorblade wrote:gotta say chris lynn is well overdue for selection Won the match by himself again last night. On the heat I see about 6 Qld Bulls cricketers playing for interstate teams. That is a horrible imo. Stars are getting what they deserve for Wasting cap space on Pietersen,Clarke and Faulkner. No Bowling outside of Hastings and Boland.

Obviously Lynn does need to be given a go. But I think there's plenty of truth in what KP said. Huge difference between hitting through the line on roads here compared to playing quality spin on the sub-continent.
I hope people don't think he's just a slogger though. I've seen him play some great shield innings. Imo he'll be playing test cricket within 2 years
