A Vietnam win by one or two goals and a likely Oman loss (or draw) would see Syria, China, UAE and North Korea through regardless of the results in UAE v Saudi.

A Vietnam win by three or more goals and a likely Oman loss (or draw) would see Syria, China, UAE and Vietnam through regardless of the results in UAE v Saudi.

A Iraq win or draw and the likely Oman loss (or draw) would make it Syria, China, UAE and Iraq qualifying, regardless of the results in UAE v Saudi.

Oman winning can change a lot but I wouldn't bet on that happening.

HT Iraq 1-0 over Vietnam. I don't see Vietnam scoring four goals unanswered after that, nor Oman to get up for a win away to Iran a goal down, so it's my bedtime.

Happy to call it as Syria, China, UAE and Iraq as best 2nd placers joining Australia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iran, Japan, Thailand, South Korea and Uzbekistan in Round 3.
