Passing is sloppier than against Cambodia.

Well set up by the CB, good chip by the winger and great finish by number 19

Maybe with a bit more intensity and physicality in defense.

I just cannot fathom that our 16 year olds are playing like this.
The Socceroos could learn a lot from them...

God this is more entertaining than professional football. its the first time we have seen a bunch of aussies with real technique football could really take off in australia if this becomes the sort of football we see in the a league in 10 years thing is there is so much room for improvement in our development at the moment there are 24 full time youth. In 20 years the ffa want that number to be 3000 at the moment the ntc has 25 percent compliance imagine if we had 80 percent compliance dare to dream about one day winning the world cup?

They wont be happy with that, to many turnovers in middle third, right side not working . Very poor goal to concede against less than average opponent.
Different type of central forward tonight looks to get in behind rather than back to goal.
Should be able to create plenty more chances.

We've had 12 shots on goal. They've had 3, at half time.
They've stacked those last two lines, giving us more time on the ball further back, resulting in us struggling to find space in their defensive third often.
Someone else said the passing has been sloppier than against Cambodia. They've squeezed intensively within a half press. It means they've broken up more of our play in our attacking third.
Also, Singapore has become far more physical in the style of football they play. They have money, so they may be importing more coaching expertise from Europe.
Building up from defence to attack, there is constant opening of diagonal passing lanes for the Joeys, which is good. There are just about no balls hoofed up into the mixer, like the old days.
Singapore had a good spell around the 30 minute mark, where Aus had no shots on goal for about 10 minutes.

Belgium had a very high implementation/compliance of their curriculum and far more established and existing youth pathways to get to where they are after missing euro qualification 10 or so years ago. They are now a top ten team and have a team which on paper could challenge for a World Cup. I'm dreaming, but hopefully we will have a top 10 team in 20 years time.
