Sorry Barca i was being sarcastic for the benefit of i dont know who. The development of players in Qld has taken a huge hit because of the way NPL was introduced and is now run.
Surprising as last year at the u14's Coff habour tournament the QLD boys did well. Comes down to opinion's in the end. I am fully aware of the results and the performance of the Qld u14s at Coffs and also believe the same 2 coaches will present another team this year that produces results and performance equal to last years. However the results and performance are not the measure at u14s its how many players are identified for the next level and last years result was nil, zero, nobody. Now this is not a reflection on those who selected and coached the team at Coffs but the process that develops the pool of players to be selected from and that is NPL. What is the problem with the process in QLD that concerns you? We have our own issues here in Vic but interested about QLD.

usa have come a long way technically with there juniors. The one thing they have over us is they set up a lot of matches against quality opposition.

Pretty sure these are the same age groups that played each other in December last year in the US. I think ended in a draw with guys like Joice, Petratos and Armekanas playing. Both teams were pretty evenly matched. It will be interesting to see how they have developed in the year since and how the Americans play away from home.

Usa are usually technically hopeless but the ultimate team when it comes to athleticism and organization so winning against them is very difficult at youth level

I've only seen a couple of US youth sides but they seemed technically very sound. Edited by maxxie: 2/9/2015 08:48:01 PM

It would be like judging our Joeys based on the technical quality of our previous Socceroo teams. Australia isn't the only one taking massive leaps forward.

FT: USA 1 Australia 1.
Melbourne Victory NPL winger Lucas Derrick scored in the 63rd minute. USA striker Joe Gallardo equalised in the 88th minute.

The talent in NPL qld is spread too thinly (too many clubs) compared with old jpl

How did they go? They building up for preparation nicely.
I looked at the team sheet they had a kid called Thomas Prinsen who plays for PEC Zwolle youth? Anyone knows anything about this lad?
