I've heard that the 49ers staff love him to bits - but all the American players hate it that he's taking the piss out of them all day every day.

Averaging close to 10yds per carry. There are elite running backs that don't clock those numbers. He could walk into somewhere like Jacksonville or Oakland and just about be thier number 1 back

My favourite part of this whole experience is reading heaps of people get annoyed at Americans calling him a "rugby player"

Wouldn't get close to being either of those teams #1 back.

Wouldn't get close to being either of those teams #1 back. Have you seen the options that Jacksonville have at Running Back?

Wouldn't get close to being either of those teams #1 back. Have you seen the options that Jacksonville have at Running Back? He wouldn't get close to starting ahead of TJ Yeldon or Denard Robinson or even Bernard Pierce for that matter. Hayne still has a long long long way to go as a running back. Most elite running backs would destroy the 3rd and 4th dtring defenses Hayne has been going up against when in as an RB. That's not to say what he's doing isn't amazing, it is, but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

Was reading a fair bit of this forum page last night. http://www.49erswebzone.com/forum/niners/179916-the-hayne-plane/page300/There's over 300 pages but I sought out the ones where he'd just played a game. It's interesting stuff and heaps of aussies all over the pages and some very polite and patient Americans explaining the nuances of the game and what he's doing right and wrong. It's a great read actually. One bloke made a great point about how Hayne would do.. He was saying 1st blokes were saying it's only practise. Then when that went well it was wait until they play contact When that went well, it was wait until he gets a helmet and pads on...... Then it was wait until he plays a game... You get the idea.

It's not the Hayne Plane. It's the Hayne Train, and there's no brakes on it.

Dunno but "monsterzero789" (15706 posts) said this. I was a non-believer. Then Outback Jesus came into my life and i have learned the errors of my ways. I have repented, and now food tastes better and colors seem brighter. I let Outback Jesus take the wheel.

Good luck to him. Probably doesn't deserve top billing on every news channel though.
Probably a bit of a slow news week.

Probably a bit of a slow news week. Probably not, but I mean in terms of sport, international break in the football and the last round in NRL and AFL with not a whole lot going on in either comp so makes sense to have him be top billing. Edited by sydneycroatia58: 6/9/2015 10:02:02 AM

Another interesting story for those who follow the sport closely. Former Raiders QB Tyrell Pryor has been signed by the Browns as a WR
