We are a multicultural society and the commonality we have is regardless of colour, creed, religion,etc what binds us all is that we have Australian on our citizenship/ passports.

But for whatever reason you seem to think that he speaks for the majority of Australian Muslims, and the reality is that he doesn't. Just like Reclaim Australia don't speak for all white Australians.

Extremism exists on all sides, so why is it that Muslim extremism is the one you have a particular problem with?

Mate Ive mention in previous posts that I don't agree with Reclaim Australia and those Right Wing groups...and have as much dislike for them as I do with the Muslim Extremists.
But in the current state of affairs, my opinion is based on recent events where the Parramatta Police shooting and the shooting at Martin Place has made you, me and everyone who is carrying on their daily business a potential target for future attacks carried out in the name of religion. I agree most Muslims are innocent everyday people...but its almost like you are not allowed to say there are a few nutters that have bad intentions since it upsets the apple cart from those in the political correctness brigade.

They dont teach kids to sing it . I should know i got a daughter in grade one. The national anthem isnt used to prove love for the country . Im over the americanisation of our country. Also we only sing one verse of the song there is actually theree verses but we too lazy to learn the other two verses

Sent the family of an Australian soldier a letter calling him a pig and animal.

And that was wrong but he was a deluded and sick man. Nothijg to do with his religion. Plenty of people send hate mail to politicans and numerous people and nothing is mentiojed of their religion. Yes their is nut caes out there who happen to be muslim

I hate to admit it but I have to agree with Mumbruz on this one.
It would be akin to someone inviting you over their house and you start setting your own rules as to what's acceptable and what's not.

Why do you despise the national flag? It's just a southern cross and a union jack on it. Is it the union jack, does the shape and colours somehow provoke anger in you? I am Republican but I recognise the appreciate my British heritage and ancestry, and it's role in shaping Australia, not sure what would make someone hate something that has been fundamentally good for them. Maybe it's a rebellious thing, like a kid rebelling against his parents and deciding he hates them. Odd

Wouldn't say I hate the Australian flag but I dislike it with a passion. Co-opted by bogan fuckwits means that you can't even wave it at any event these days without associating yourself with southern cross tattooed racist bogan freaks.

The fact that you rarely see the flag at national sporting competitions in the crowd should tell you something about what the average punter thinks of "our" flag and the connotations that go with waving it in public.

When I went to South Africa for the WC 2010 I was blown away by how unifying their new flag was. It was everywhere and waved by whites and blacks alike.

It's got nothing to do with "rebelliousness" and everything to do with wanting our own symbols for our own country. There's only 2 or 3 countries left in the world with somebody else's flag on their flag and by mid next year there may be one less if the Kiwis have the balls to get on with it.

Consider this Rusty. No matter how worthy, no matter how popular, no matter how just no Australian ever born in Australia can be our head of state. That is dead set retarded in this day and age.

I wish we had the guts to pull the pin on the Union Jack and go it alone.
