But surely this is an approach that can be looked at. A pm from a mod (who should be respected regardless of who it is) to say pull your head in

U44 and Quickflick would be ideal IMO.

In the end, we just need KA to add 2 or 3 people and get on with it. I've been saying it all day and I'll say it again, If we deliberately direct the conversation in AF to actually be about football, this place will be better.

IMO threads about poor crowd figures and whether or not a club is "in trouble" can work if they don't turn into troll fests and actually discuss reasons why crowds are low or why something might be "in trouble"

Honestly, they can't. The style of thread is purely bait, and all the regulars know it.

Yes, the quality of discourse is the responsibility of everybody on the forum, don't forget to do your part to make this a better place and then come crying to the mods to fix it on their own. Create content, don't get suckered by shitposting. The community can do better.

A good moderator shouldnt be voted in democratically. Thats how faction aligned mods are appointed in the first place.

tbf no one had any problems with pv4 and pala being mods, its only been in the last 6-8 weeks people have complained about pv4 not being here (understandably busy with other things) and pala's "biases"
The point you make is valid, its just unfortunate KA isn't always poking around to see who could mod and its up to us to say this person would do a decent job
