Just wondering where all the social outrage zealots were when Burt Reynolds made 'inappropriate' gestures to Samantha Armytage a few months back. Why was that totally acceptable? Can't help but feel there's an element of racism in all this.

Are people serious about why she was in the change rooms? Women are in the change rooms of men's sports teams all the time. Every team I've been involved with has had physio, strapper, manager or journos who are women in the rooms. It's normal.
Not commenting on whether or not the event did happen, but there is a huge difference between her seeing Gayles dick after walking in the room, and him getting his dick out and saying 'is this what you're looking for'.

The problem is this:
1. Obviously he was in the wrong, Mel wasn't impressed. His history of sleaziness comes out etc. There is a valid point to be made about letting an interviewer do their job without being hit on.
2. Anytime ANYTHING happens there are the keyboard warriors that come out in force, as well as the journos trying to generate clickbait by making vast generalisations one way or the other.
3. This issue has been inflated to now represent every woman who has faced workplace harassment.
4. the BBL, not wanting to derail their product, do the standard corporate thing and 'make an example' out of the guy.
At the end of the day, he was unprofessional, a bit of a w*nker, and seems to have a history of being sleazy. But that's it.
The over-the-top nature of online reactions is ridiculous. But it happens on every issue. In 2 weeks time it will be something else!

He said she said. What if she's just trying to get some fame at the cost of his reputation? It's happened a million times before.

Can't help but feel there's an element of racism in all this. True, I distinctly remember that creepy pervert Russell Brand a few years ago grabbing 60 minutes reporter Liz Hayes, kissing her on the lips and then trying to undo her bra. Yet no furor. Probably because he's adored by the professional outrage gladiators on the left for his socialist views and the other reason is probably because he has white skin. The racism on the left is quite furtive but it's absolutely prevalent in society. Edited by rusty: 8/1/2016 03:19:11 PM

Edited by Socawho: 8/1/2016 03:19:16 PM Test cricket changerooms are like the team's headquarters. With pre-match preparations over 2-3 days and a five day game, the rooms are the focal point for the entire organisation around the team for a week or so. As well as drinks, there is generally a big table with fruit, sandwiches and other food for the players and staff. In this case, the women was a media officer working with the team. She wasn't a reporter snooping around and she had every right to be there. She wasn't in the showers. Making this about the right of a staff member (she could have been a cleaner for all that it matters what her job was) to be in the change rooms rather than that Gayle allegedly pulled down his towel to expose himself is ridiculous.

Regardless of if it is a male change room or not, how hard is it to understand what he allegedly did is inappropriate?
Had she walked into a male change room and little Chris Gayle was already there it wouldn't be an issue.
If it was a male change room and she shouldn't have been there, doesn't give him the right to allegedly deliberately expose himself.
Fucks sake its not complicated.

Given the circumstances and her role, the change room was arguably part of her workplace. And even if it wasn't, there is no excuse for what he allegedly did, even for a troll like you.

Like I said if she doesnt like the look of mens cocks she should avoid mens dressing room.
Its retarded that a man should have to hide his genitals in a change room of all places ffs. Its the one place a man should have the the right to freely expose and dangle his wang and not be berated by fucking feminists.
Obce again dont like the look of dicks in male dressing rooms stay the fuck out of it.

Obce again dont like the look of dicks in male dressing rooms stay the fuck out of it. You obviously haven't spent much time in the men's dressing room of a sports team if you think everyone is just strolling around with their junk out. And once again, the issue isn't that she saw his dick, it's that he got it out and said 'are you looking for this'. Which isn't just poor form, it's illegal. Once again that is only if the allegations are true.

He allegedly didnt fully expose his meatworks though he allegedly partially did. Perhaps just his pubes.
Really she shouldve just stayed out of the mens dressing room. If a dude was found creeping around a womans dressing room supposedly "looking for a sandwich" he would be castrated and added to the sex offenders registry.

So many people are just outraged by the outrage its unbelievable.
Instead of taking what happened for what it is, white knighs and meninists are tripping over themselves to show that its not so bad and reverse discrimination blah blah blah...
Is Chris Gayle inherently sexist - yes Was he in this interview - no. Was he a disrespectful man child trying to embarrass someone just doing there job - yes he is a massive dick. Does it make him less of a dick because you found an article from 6yrs ago where a women said to a man - - no.

Because it was absolutely blown out of proportion from the beginning and every feminazi in the country came out bashing men in general. Of course blokes were going to show examples of women doing it too.
