That won't work, it'll mute for guest and all your multis :lol: Go incognito if you really want to see what they posted. If you just want to know who it was, you can click on the PM button (and not send a PM obviously).

It's cute that you think I created the plugin because of you. Couldn't care less about any labels you want to put on yourself, all that matters is your character and what you post and not post tells people a lot if they're tuned into it.

Thanks for the positive feedback from those that have been using it. I've made a quick update that will make it much much easier to use.
Instead of having to go to the user's profile page to find their id, there is now a mute icon that appears next to the user's name in the post. Click that, the page will refresh and the post(s) will be gone :)

To remove someone from your mute list, go to the options page and click on the remove link next to the user's name.

Because the configuration is different, you'll need to rebuild your mute list but it should be a piece of cake now to do!

Chrome's disabling it each day so I have to drop it in again. Is there a way I can tell chrome to leave it as is ?

Yeah it looks like it's a "Chrome feature" because it's not coming from the Web store. I might be "stealing your data" even though the source is there for everyone to see on GitHub :lol:

I'll have a look at putting it into the Web store but for the time being you could try this:
1. Download the zip from here
2. Extract it to a directory on your machine
3. In extensions, check "Developer mode" and then select to load an unpacked extension.
4. Select the directory you created with the extension code in there

When you restart your browser, it will warn you but it won't disable it automatically.

Are there any feature requests?

I think for me the 2 things that would be useful are:
1. Muting a thread. If it's something that you have no interest in like A-league expansion for the 10,145,999th time it'll mute the link on the thread list page and it'll push it to the bottom of the page it's currently on.
2. Muting posts with quotes from a user you muted. Here I think it'd keep the poster's name and just hide the post so you can click to view if you wish.

Is it possible to find a way to mute forumers on just one thread? Not gonna name anyone here, but there is a certain someone that makes a certain thread unbearable in AF, but is usually tolerable on the rest of the forum.

Certainly possible, just have to think through how it would be configured without it becoming unmanageable.
