In three years Malcolm will be able to boast about 90%+ of Australians being connected to NBN thanks for HFC and FTTN. The only thing Labor have been able to achieve in regards to NBN is cost blow outs and delays.

If Labor got back in they would've pushed it back out to 2023 or longer, which would be nearly 20 years since Rudd announce it. On the contrary the Libs have proved that FTTN can be designed and implemented in about 6 years, a fantastic, marvelous effort by our supreme leader.

I guess we can now safely announce that Coalition have WON the election. The flip side of this is Labor LOST the election, which they campaigned on the back of a lie, and have NO mandate for any of their policies they took the election, and alternative PM Shorten was comprehensively rebuffed even despite his lies and strong campaign.
I think the next three years will be successful for the government. They will get their childcare reforms through, ABCC legislation, small company tax cuts, innovation policies, etc, and Australia can look forward to stability and economic growth.
I repeat, Liberal have WON the election, they have DEFEATED Labor, and that my friends is that.

It's now shaping up to be a decisive victory, in the back of postal votes.

And if it were actually decisive, it wouldn't rely on the speed of the AEC opening envelopes.

A margin of 10 seats is pretty decisive. A bit of a smack down you might say.

Exceedingly small would be a hung parliament. The coalition have won the election in absolute terms. Winning is winning.

We're at a stage now where the result can only be better than my expectations before voting started. The Liberal party are at a crossroads they either: 1. succumb to the crazies to the right of their party and get absolutely smashed next election 2. move more to the centre and actually be palatable. I'd be happy with either.

Many argue that Turnbull has already succumbed to the right, that he has no vision on climate change, refugees and gay marriage. Yet he just won an election, despite no change on these issues relative to his precedecor. On the contrary Shorten might succumb to the left, and end up advocating for a carbon tax, or reopening the borders, given the increase representation of Labor left now admitted to the parliament.

It appears that the take up rate on 100Mbps is very low in the areas where FTTN is available. So why spend the taxpayer's money on something that is not widely required?

Turnbull hasn't succumbed. He has actually undermined and silenced them which is why, despite Abbott's best efforts in the campaign, many conservative Liberal voters decided to cast their vote for Liberal Democrats, One nation, Christian Democrats, Darren Hynch and some others. My prediction is that the revolving PM phenomena will continue in this term as cross bench and senate bill instability and hostility cast doubt over the effectiveness of the Turnbull Government. This will have dire consequences in the regular media polls. The Conservatives will be waiting for the right numbers, to place a great big knife between Turnbull's 2 shoulder blades. We may still see Abbott back as PM and taking the Liberals to the next election which I believe will be in less than 2 years time. I also believe Abbott will win back many seats in Western Sydney.

The company I work for have suffered since Campbell Newman got the boot in the state election. I have no idea why that is. Lack of confidence i would suggest......same here in NSW things are going along lovely now we have Baird in, huge boost for my business, we are up about between $50- $80k a month since he got in.....they push the buttons on the infrastructure builds and confidence is up in NSW.... as experience tells us Labor can't really implement huge projects, have the ideas but just can't implement them accurately.....
