grazorblade wrote:in principle its ok to have any style at senior level and have youth style designed to optimize technical development rather than results
but at the moment at senior level we have ange who is an excellent coach and plays a proactive style
what would be the point of ange playing a style that doesnt come naturally to him when at best a reactive style gets similar results at senior level grazorbladeClassic false dichotomy. It's not an either proactive or reactive scenario. The best way to go about things lies somewhere in between and Ange will hardly be compromising his style. How many goals did France score? They didn't play as proactive a style as Germany did. Why must we mimic what Germany do when we haven't the players to do this? Until we have the players, why can't we just aim for something which has slightly more defensive stability but still more than enough attack. It's not a choice between building a bus depot and throwing the kitchen sink at the opponent all the time.

Vidmar next cab off the rank. We don't look like we know what we're doing. So many balls going too long.

Wow, somebody please tell me this isn't the best talent we have coming through. I was a believer in the bright generations to come via the nat. curriculum theory.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

I like the idea of an NC but it appears it ain't working or needs alot of work, their passing and decision making is shocking.
