I've been playing Pokemon Go a bit with the kid over the past few days. We have 4 pokestops and a battle gym right around the corner from our house so it's been a pretty low effort exercise so far.
I'm not all that sold on it, to be honest. Server issues are annoying, and the game is so basic that theres going to be a significant drop-off without some serious content additions soon.
On the Mobile Games front, I'm still playing Marvel Future Fight every day. After a few shaky updates that were heavily slanted towards paying players progressing exponentially faster than everyone else, they've made a few quality of life additions to the game that makes it better for grinders.
The meta-game is surprisingly deep for a mobile game, much more deep than most AAA RPGs & MOBAs.
Unfortunately the development team don't really tweak characters anymore for balance, and improve characters with uniforms that change skillsets and moves.

I'm up to manager level 13 with at least a few trophies to my name, not a dollar spent yet ;)

Legit hooked on Pokemon Go. Everyone in town is noticably hooked too. So many people out & about.
Last night on my way home I detoured to the lake & noticed someone had a lure module going at the pokestop, and there were so many people there
I thought I was hooked and all, but some of these pokemon controlling the gyms are just phenomenal. My best pokemon atm is a Golbat at CP 407, but last night there was an Arcanine controlling my local gym that was level 900 and something (and I've not even seen a Growlithe or Arcanine ffs)

Everyone in Rundle Mall yesterday was on the phone playing it.

My suburb has 3 pokestops in it. I've developed a 5km running route around my hood which sees me hit all 3 of them, and hit one of them twice. My plan is to run this route daily. If I didn't have motivation to run already, I do now!

I took the kid out playing Pokemon Go on Sunday, we decided we would walk over to the gym and see how it all worked.
As soon as I got to our local library where the gym is, there was a 30-something neckbeard mouthbreather who looked suspiciously like Heineken loitering out the front and came up to the kid and I boasting about how he had the toughest pokemon protecting the gym and there's no way I could ever beat him and demanded to see how many pokemon we had.
My kid started crying because he was so fucking creepy and said she didn't want to play anymore. We went home and uninstalled the app.

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Similar thing happened to us at a lake yesterday some guy laughed a two little kids because they couldnt find a pokemon. So my mates and i helped them. We then took over his gym and let the kids put their pokemon in it lol. He then came back yelled at us while we and other people laughed at him. I legit thought he was gonna cry. We then set up a lure and went off to eat... the kids there had a blast and a couple of dads and mums thanked us some people take this game wayyy to seriously

Its crazy how much money Nintendo has made from this game. I think they only own a 33% share in the company that owns and develops pokemon.
