Any predictions on how many assists Mooy will get this championship season? I'm going conservative and picking 16 (5 more than last seasons top assister)

Realistically you could expect him to get at least 10 and still have an amazing season.

From what I've read he's playing deeper in midfield for Huddersfield Town than at Melbourne City. Wouldn't be surprised if his goal/assist rate is significantly lower than what he got here.

Yep, you're right, but I don't think many people on here could fathom that if he didn't get many assists this season it would be adjudged an unsuccessful season :lol:

Not sure if this was mentioned but Coventry City and Sturm Graz played a friendly against each other with Andy Rose playing a full match and Jeggo not playing for Sturm. 3-2 to sturm.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say. Judging a successful season isn't based on any one stat obviously. In fact shot assists are probably a better measure than assists tbh.

You're right that above 10 (ie 11 and above) would probably be a good season considering last years leading assists was 11. If he doesn't get injured and he plays anywhere near his ability (and his team plays semi-decent) he should be the top assister in the league imo.

It will be lower than last season. Nobody can replicate 20 assists in 25 games that was ridiculous.

depends on the tactics
if he plays in a flat midfield an assist every 6 games is pretty good which would be around 9
if he plays as CAM in a 4-3-3 then 1 every four game is good, 1 every 2 is world class which would be 11-22 assuming he plays in a team that can finish them
if he gets nearly 1 a game like he did in the a league that would be 45+ which would probably be a record.

last game they played in a 4-2-3-1 and he was one of the 2. anybody heard any different? i suppose it's too early to tell if they will stick with that formation.

if he is a deep lying play maker then 9 assists would be dominant I think

On the Burton game Hyuga Tanner (Aussie previously at Blackburn) partnered Irvine in the second half. He is currently there on trial. With all three goals in the half they played and some good reviews on Burton Forums he could find a place there
