Any predictions on how many assists Mooy will get this championship season? I'm going conservative and picking 16 (5 more than last seasons top assister)

From what I've read he's playing deeper in midfield for Huddersfield Town than at Melbourne City. Wouldn't be surprised if his goal/assist rate is significantly lower than what he got here.

Yep, you're right, but I don't think many people on here could fathom that if he didn't get many assists this season it would be adjudged an unsuccessful season

Not sure if this was mentioned but Coventry City and Sturm Graz played a friendly against each other with Andy Rose playing a full match and Jeggo not playing for Sturm. 3-2 to sturm.

Judging a successful season isn't based on any one stat obviously. In fact shot assists are probably a better measure than assists tbh. You're right that above 10 (ie 11 and above) would probably be a good season considering last years leading assists was 11. If he doesn't get injured and he plays anywhere near his ability (and his team plays semi-decent) he should be the top assister in the league imo. Edited by The Fans: 17/7/2016 12:09:15 PM

It will be lower than last season. Nobody can replicate 20 assists in 25 games that was ridiculous.

I read a 'Corner Flag' article a couple of weeks ago that mentioned that Kieran Dover was Trialling in England with Hartlepool United. Can anyone provide some more insight into this??
He hasn't been playing with Bentleigh for a couple of weeks so guessing it could still be in progress.

Big news out of China with Sainsburys club signing South Korean international centre back Jeong-Ho Hong when fit he was a Bundesliga regular it would be awesome if it meant Sains was released paid a ton and moved back to Europe. He would be really putting his NT chances on the line by staying given ange isn't the biggest fan of the league as is with its one saving grace being all the game time which now looks to under threat.

Beating German clubs in preseason has come into fashion. Rogic played the last half of a win over Wolfsburg, DDS played the first 70 for in a win over Aachen, he was on for the only goal, and Juric came of in the 59th minute for Luzern in a win against Schalke, it was 1-0 at half time and ended 4-2 so hopefully he played a big part in the win. Full game for Langerak, Brad Jones played the first half for Feyenoord against Anderlecht and kept a clean sheet. Dunno if it's already on here but Irvine came on at half time to debut for Burton Albion in a 3-0 win over Stoke, and Davidson started alongside Mooy foor Huddersfield and both came off at the hour mark. Dougall played the last 20 minutes for Sparta, no Goodwin. Macdonald with a full match against Rangers in the cup, seems they have some group stage for that. First matchday of the Hungarian league, David Williams coming on in the 68th minute for Haladas FC. Leijer and Mrcela having a full match against each other in Korea, full games in China for Vidosic and McGowan, Giannou coming on in the 63rd minute, Thwaite rode the pine and Sainsbury was not in the squad, although nor was his potential replacement with Alex Teixeira the only foreigner in the squad. I urge anyone who likes Aussies Abroad to follow Germanroo107 on twitter (I have mobile notifications on) he has all the updates and daily wraps, no idea how he does it.

The Fans wrote:Any predictions on how many assists Mooy will get this championship season? I'm going conservative and picking 16 (5 more than last seasons top assister) depends on the tactics if he plays in a flat midfield an assist every 6 games is pretty good which would be around 9 if he plays as CAM in a 4-3-3 then 1 every four game is good, 1 every 2 is world class which would be 11-22 assuming he plays in a team that can finish them if he gets nearly 1 a game like he did in the a league that would be 45+ which would probably be a record.

On the Burton game Hyuga Tanner (Aussie previously at Blackburn) partnered Irvine in the second half. He is currently there on trial. With all three goals in the half they played and some good reviews on Burton Forums he could find a place there

Didn't Mooy have a cry and leave WSW when Popovic kept playing him as a DM in a 4-2-3-1? Fairly sure the reason he signed for Melb City was to play as an AM...

Burns is on the pitch for FC Tokyo's home match against Kashiwa Reysol, 0-0 after 20 mins.
Jedinak was an unused substitute as Crystal Palace beat FC Cincinnati 2-0 in front of 35,000 fans in Ohio.

Harrison Delbridge started for FC Cincinnati too, that'll be a rare mention for that Aussie Abroad! :) Another titan of Asia, Dallas Jaye, played in goal for the second half for the home team. He is of course of world renown as the first choice GK of Guam. Edited by paladisious: 17/7/2016 09:14:18 PM
