adelaide have a acl campaign this year which could have been a good opportunity

yeah another season would be good, not just for him but for football fans in general to see how he goes

he's 20 years old. old enough to be pushing for a spot in a big league if he wants it. why not take an opportunity while he has a solid season and a good reputation behind him?

Hmmmm should I stay up tonight. I was thinking about it last time but glad I didn't. If I stay up and Rogic and Celtic have a horrid game I'd be annoyed. At least the Rosenburg game is before.

Does anyone really rate the Eerste divisie that highly? The only plus point of it is it gives players a straight forward path into a Eredivisie. Dougal was a starter in a title winning side but I don't remember him being in too many suggested socceroos lineups. On the other hand 3 A-league fullbacks have been called up recently (Geria, Risdon, Elrich). If he does well this season and possibly shows he should have been given a chance in the A-league it means he has improved, not that either league is bad. While injury hampered his last season Mooy was released from St Mirren with a year left on his contract before coming back to Australia and now is playing at a level most would say is above St Mirren in 2012.

Just because a player isn't good enough for a league at say 21 doesn't mean they will never be good enough for the A-league.



Firstly he went back to the Danish second tier where not all teams are even professional. I would hope the A-league is better than that.

He was able to have his best ever season (goal return wise) though and is now getting another chance in the Danish top flight. This much more quick and direct path seen in promotion/relegation systems was probably attractive to him over what we have in Australia. Just going off Wikipedia Joey Gibbs seems to have had a really good NPL season last year but I don't see too much talk of him getting another A-league chance. Maybe he could have toughed it out in Australia but I wouldn't b e surprised if players who fall slightly short of the A-league like him see it as a bad path.

clear there a different in age as a player goes from 20 years old to 27 years old, as such there many A-League (youth) players let go at 20 years old who will be good enough to play A_League at 27 years

but Dougall isn't 27 years old, Dougall was 21 years old when he become a starting player in Eerste divisie , 1 year after being let go by Brisbane Roar (youth)

Dougall played for Olyroos under 23 team, base on playing in Eerste divisie...so they veiw 22 year playing in Eerste divisie good enough Olyroos

be off by few months is not a big deal....making a mistake is not a big deal ...being wrong is not a big deal,

So you're ignoring my point, I disagree with your views, that's fine, but I object to your conduct, ie your rudeness to most people and your tall stories, for example you being a millionaire. These are separate points, despite you conflating the two.

Actually I don't even disagree with a lot of your football opinions, especially the strength and value of the Australian league, but the way you have consistently argued your points with rudeness and appeals to the stone of your own provenance puts a lot of people off.
