Runs the length of the field, dribbles past the whole opposition midfield and defence, then misses the tap in. Very frustrating.

If he scores that he'd have every club in the world bending over to sign him :d
Don't these kids have shooting practice?

Roberts is potentially a star, built like a tank but moves well.

Our N.7 Italiano looks like an excellent winger, glides past players for fun.

I feel so frustrated,.
Australia should've been 3-0 up before that Thai goal.](*,)
Roberts had a chance to bury a composed goal at the 35 min mark, which spoiled his general excellent target striker play.
Then at the 45 minute mark the young fellow who hit the post with close to an open goal in front of him, did not use the axiomatic method for shooting first time from crosses along the ground.
He shot with his right foot when the ground cross was from the left.
The axiom is that one always shoots with the closest foot to the cross.
If he had shot with his left foot, his body shape would've been perfect, much more open, and he would've had far less likelihood of mishitting it and hitting the post.
If players cross from the right then players need to shoot with the right foot which is the closest foot to the cross too. The left sided cross needs a left foot cross at the far post.
Australia dominated possession , territory, and effective chances created.=d>
To concede a goal just before halftime is a shocking debacle, when Australia has been the only team in the contest. To play so well and dominate and be 1-1, is terrible. They now have to play for another 45 minutes in blistering heat and humidity level pegging when they should've been 3-1 up..
The 1v1 individual defending is still cause for concern. That is tackling, muscle on muscle ball winning and jockeying. On the other hand the Aussie team defensive organisation and shape has been quite good when Thailand has the ball.
Also, the wingers are having more trouble beating their full back markers in 1v1 actions than against Malayasia.
The Aussie DM with the fuzzy hair is very decent on the ball, with very good decision-making and in picking the right pass options, but his 1v1 defending - tackling, jockeying, muscle on muscle 1v1 actions, needs a lot more work.
Generally the football this team are playing is very easy on the eye. They have improved out of sight since I saw them play the first half against Vietnam and have grown as a team unit. The constant diagonal passing lanes and proactive off the ball movement is quite good when the team is in possession.=d>
To be 1-1 with such good structured possession, attacking interplay and at times fast ball movement is so disappointing.

In the past 1v1 defending was good, but team defensive team structures, cohesion and communication was not as good as this under 16 team. It is the individual 1v1 defending that is the problem.
