Don't know what Trump is going on about regarding the timing of the Presidential debates.

The Commission for Presidential Debates is made up of equal numbers of Democrats & Republicans...

I still think its a bit early to make that call. Articles I have read seem to say that we will get more realistic numbers next week and the week after.

But who knows? These are the 2 most unpopular presidential candidates in history.

So historical precedent about the stability of poll numbers a couple of weeks after the conventions may no longer be relevant...

It will be interesting to see what comes out of the issue of Trump and the father of that dead soldier.

"Respecting the troops" is definitely republican territory. Trump may be alienating republican voters with this.

But it may be forgotten in a week due to the next outrageous thing Trump says. That's the thing with him, the crazy comments just keep coming so that there is never the opportunity for any single controversy to sink in.

Except I didn't see Clinton saying anything about the Benghazi mother....

I think this an appeal to Bernie supporters who 6 months ago were saying the exact same thing by scheduling the debates on weekends.

It is of course bullshit though because the debate dates were decided a year ago.

Morning Consult has Clinton 43%, Trump 40%, other don't know 17%...Morning Consult had it 41% to 39% before Convention

CBS poll has Clinton 47% to Trump 40%

Reuters poll has Clinton 41% to Trump 35%

but Trump will pick up so working class dem

average post convention swing is now +5.8 to clinton which is a moderate bounce. CNN and RABA dominating that average with massive swings. A couple more days should give a clearer picture
