+x+xJamieson got a good evaluation from his club and fans. Great news. It's hard to get a positive result away and an away goal is huge. They played at home. The play us on Sunday then fly to Azerbaijan to play on Thursday.

+x+x+x+x+x+xStacking the shelves at Tesco's... He would be hopeless at that job, he would never get things in the right position. lol, they genuinely hate him, can't wait to be rid of him. They got their wish, he's back in Holland now on a season loan to Groningen. Good move for Davidson, he should never have left Holland in the first place, but at least he should get regular game time now. great move. good team. great league. he suits the style of play. hopefully he can work his way into the first team and regain the form he had previously in holland. If he works hard on his positioning, he could be fighting Smith for the national team, it's his biggest weakness.

according to soccerway gersbach played on the left wing in a 433, so skjelvik retained his lb position

+xplease ange try a false 9 with tommy, he can finish so well! could be a very technical midfield with rogic at false 9, luongo mooy and Irvine making up the midfield triangle and kruse as a wide attacking mid (leckie on the other wing of course)

I've officially been won over by the people saying rogic should be tried as a false nine. I think the idea has a lot of merit.

We tried Rogic as false 9 at Victory, didn't work out great. Granted he was constantly injured back then, and he would have progressed a lot.

Why not just use him as a straight up number 9? It worked when Cahill switched to there, what is there about Rogic's skill set that makes him and worse of a prospect thatn some of our other young players?

if we are playing a diamond, rogic is in the slot. call it what you want. he just needs to be a very advanced attacking midfielder. although his work rate and defence is looking much much better every year. we just need to stop playing wings, because our wings at the moment aren't rocking it for the NT. 4 in the middle. 2 up front. dominate.

Here's a good podcast to listen to to catch up on the leagues outside of the English premiership, could be a good way to follow some of our overseas Aussies and see if they get some plaudits. https://soundcloud.com/ntt20pod/

I am worried Ikon's season is shaping up to be very similar to last year. He seems to have impressed but still seems like he will be about 4th choice winger. The big hope is early on and I would go as far to say if he doesn't get some decent time before the international break (only 2 games) he will only see decent time in an injury crisis. The reason is say this is they have not bought a replacement for Candreva, Anderson is off at the Olympics and Keita Balde is possibly injured ( source) leaving only Kishna and Ikon as true wingers. The other good news is Simone Inzaghi is their current manager. For those who don't know/remember he was Ikons youth team manager at Lazio where he had his best season and was captain and apparently the reason Ikon didn't go on loan apparently was at the "express request of Inzaghi'. Why I think his season hinges on these first two weeks. Firstly it is strongly rumoured they are looking for a direct replacement for Candreva and by the end of the International break Anderson will be back. This will push Ikon from 3rd choice winger (assuming Keita is fit atm) to 5th which is very similar to last season when he made no appearances. That along with Lazio having no Europa league (less fixture congestion) I only see Ikon getting 10 minute sub spells if he is lucky. Lastly even if Keita is injured doesn't mean Ikon and Kishna are the only players that can play wide. Lulic has much of his career out wide, Dordevic played as a support striker/winger last season and a formation change could make it so wingers aren't needed (they have mainly played 433 in pre-season though).
